Yes please. Not a fan of the PPC recharge either. Sounds like a synthesized clown laugh...

I also find the recharge sound annoying, for two reasons:
1. The recharge sound is too loud, louder than the shot itself. If they decrease the sound substantially so that it is a little above background that would help.
2. The duration of the recharge sound is not tied directly to the recycle time of the lasers themselves. I fire medium lasers often, and the recharge sound stops about half a second or so before I am actually able to fire again. Therefore, the recharge sound is not a helpful indicator of the recycle time, and I need to glance at my recycle bar in the bottom right anyway.
On, and yes, the sound reminds me of an old school blaster sound, which does not jive well with my perception of the BattleTech universe.
