Thats a pretty terrible loadout if you ask me. Plus, the one in the vid isnt the same as the one on smurfy.

Double heatsinks??? WTF were you thinking? Three Streaks and a medium lazer.... youre not going to overheat.

This is how it should be done.

Yes he is. THIS IS NOT TT. Take dubs for everything, heat system is bad enogh without gimping your mech with singles.

I've never played TT or even looked at the rules.

I have however been using the COM-2D setup i showed for months. Guess how many times ive overheated...

If youre overheating in this thing then youre doing something horribly wrong.

Just compare your build to Ewigan's. Same basic setup, but more armor and far better heat efficiency.

If you're not overheating in your build, you aren't shooting enough.

regarding Mordynak,

says the guy who mistakenly added 1 ton of SRM ammo to his build... its quite easy to overheat this build if your firing constantly. if your on caustic, even faster. it doesn't mean your doing something "horribly wrong" how about you climb on down from your high horse and realize that there is more than one way to do things. the double heat sync build IS easier on newbs, as it is much harder to overheat. and that is who this was aimed at, no?

Native wtf are you talking about? Im not on a high horse. Im just discussing a build.

I didnt accidentally add an extra tonne of ssrm ammo. I run with 3 tonnes of ammo.

I fire enough i can assure you, hence the 3 tonnes of ammo. I do more damage in my commando than almost anything else.

SRM ammo =/= SSRM ammo. learn to read

and, your not just "discussing the build". your being condescending.

Ahh sorry yeah i didnt notice that. Same weight, generally don't use smurfy much.

I can assure you im not intending to be condescending at all. Its just an opinion.

I don't really like to play ECM mechs atm (unbalance meh imho), but I'd be happy to hunt you down in my COM-1D :-) 2xML, 2xSRM4. Actually think COM-2D is a worse variant than the COM-1D.

But come to think about it, I might just remove the ECM, get double HS and replate the SL with an ML. Then I'll go on a hunting trip.

This will be my mech for tonight.

Ewigan's build is strictly and objectively better than Mordynak's.

Why?
Cooling efficiency 65% vs 36%
Max sustained DPS: 3.60 vs 1.99
Armour: 176 vs 166

I've run Commandos since Closed Beta, and I run the same 2D build as Ewigan since that's the optimal 2D build.

If i drop a tonne of ammo I could have full armour, same DPS, and saved 1.5 million on heatsinks.

I have never overheated in my com-2D
