People hate fast, hard-to-hit enemies in games, especially PVP ones. They also hate 'crowd control' (like ECM) being applied to them. The Raven is the current Apex Light and has CC. The rage is inevitable.

Given that PPC fire now turns off ECM, a very visible and easily noted change... If I hit a RVN-3L multiple times with linked ER PPC fire I should see his ECM turn off each time I hit him. Since it is PPC fire it is all going into the location it hit. Ergo, I can tell if I hit him. I know how much damage I am doing (ER PPC, not normal PPC) and I therefore have a good idea how much his armor should have just taken. Try it out some time. You'll soon figure out why people keep saying that the hitboxes on RVNs are broken.

Indeed. Removing splash until they come up with a smarter system would be a good move. Could also serve as first test if changing Splash damage to be Hit + Splash = Listed Damage rather than Hit + Splash = Listed Damage + Splash Damage would make a buff on listed damage for missiles necessary.

Sadly this is what most people seem to expect from this.

My guess though is that they simply reduce side toso Hitboxes so that shooting the beak from an angle (which you mostly do when circle jerking) does not spread so much damage between ST and CT especially from non-pulse lasers.

Because when information comes out before its relevant then you get 100s of threads of raging and a mess for the forum mods to clean up. Seriously, if they made that post a week earlier and then it came to today and they had to say, "oops we need more tweaking coding to get that one in." these forums would get angsty.

You can thank your fellow forum members for the fact that we won't get detailed forum posts about upcoming changes more than a few days out. This is why I said these forum goers need to behave themselves, but I got flamed for saying it. Yet they are the ones that ruined it for the rest of us.

Yes, this is great news, as it should hopefully put to rest once and for all whether the Raven's hitbox is the source of the problem.

I have no trouble hitting and killing Ravens with direct fire weaponry (e.g. PPC).

I pilot a 3L Raven and can tell you it's way more durable than my Jenners, not just because of ECM.

After all that I still think there are issues with the Raven hitboxes/run animation that need tweaking.

Look forward to more information.

I always thought Ravens got good hit boxes because the Devs imagined them going slower than most lights since carrying Narc launchers and stuff was heavy and the poor outgunned Ravens would need a lil love to keep them survivable. Not sure if they imagined Ravens just dumping all that stuff for real weapons. After all, they keep tuning the Narc as if someone is actually using it and they don't want it to be OP. :)

I hit a raven 3L with 2 ac 20's close range, it went from no damage on the doll to the lightest yellow after being hit.

That's how broken it is lol

The raven leg hitboxes always seemed fine to me though :)
