yes , im glad you mentioned that.. The stalker is a pos with the hitboxes also.. Its why you see them all over the place and will for a very long time no matter what else gets released. Trying to hit ct on a stalker head on is iffy at best. Pilots know the stalker hitboxes are wonky,, but theyre very .. shhh shhh .. hush.. because they just love the unfair advantage it has against logic and common sense.. Iow. unless you "know " theyre wonked and how to deal with them, you will win many engagements because people are firing at your ct and hitting everything but. Personally I dont know how to deal with them other than pick a side torso and hammer that.. Not practical,, but at least i know what im hitting,, and i know i gotta then eat through the zombie armor too, but its better than going for ct and spreading damage all over the place.. Its the best i got so far...

Stalkers have wonky hit boxes...? Really? Have you piloted one?
Here is my take on my Stalkers, as I pilot them and as I've fought them:
- Easy to destroy side torsos. Combine with people's love of XL on the Stalkers. Aim for a side, easy target. If they placed XL, easy kill. If not, half their weapons are gone right there. Less damage coming in to you.
- Slow. Very slow. It is an Assault mech after all.
- Very poor torsotwist range. Easy to get behind, and easy to stay behind. Unless you are dealing with a good Stalker pilot who knows how to turn into a twist, you've got his back and you don't have to let go. (An Atlas can stay behind an Stalker if the Atlas pilot is good.)
- Side torsos of the Stalker have about half the armor of it's center torso. Easy to pop them off, as well as easy to hit.
- Center Torso isn't that hard to hit. It's dead middle. Hard to hit from the sides, yes, but if you are in the front arc of a Stalker, it isn't that hard of a target to hit. Especially when considering the speed of Stalkers.
- I've been cored from center torso many times in my Stalker without losing a side torso, but I've also been a walking zombie with no weapons just as often.
- Center torso has the most armor on the mech, so you are probably best off popping a side torso anyway to reduce incoming fire, seen as side torsos have half the center torso's armor.
- Head is hard to hit, because it is so high placed on the mech. But it is larger than an Atlas's head hit box, and if you have height on the Stalker, you can head shoot it. I've done it myself before. Common? I wouldn't say that it is, but it is possible.
- Also, you want to hit the center torso? Aim for the waist. The waist is considered as front center torso, even from the rear. You shoot the Stalker's butt if his CT is up to internal yet he has rear armor? Shoot his butt. It will be applied to the front torso.
If anything, the Stalkers hit boxes, if they are wonky, are wonky out of favor of the Stalker. I'd personally would love it if they shrank the side torsos. My CT has much more armor on it. I also don't like losing half/all my weapons after a short skirmish. I also hate turning my rear to a foe because I have more armor on my rear them my front, and still die from a rear shot that hit my front center torso. I'd prefer the butt of the mech to apply it's damage to the rear center torso, like it should. My hunchback loves to see a Stalker. 5 Med Lasers into a side troso, no armor left. 2 more volleys of the 5 lasers, no side torso left. Kill if they have XL. If not, I aim for the same side to kill, or just aim for the other side torso. Dearm the Stalker, and walk away to kill or maim another threat, or kill if there isn't another target. Most of this is happening, while to the side outside the Stalker's firing arc.
(Edit: Appearently, if you type in word's and have hit right behind it, it removes the space between the s and hit and makes into a bunch of stars... so the Stalker can not claim ownership of it's own hit boxes.... sorry.)
