I looovvveee the jagermech. My only one complaint is the cockpit is huge on it, I seem to die every match to headshots, but bar that this mech is winsauce

Every heavy and assault mech has been easy to headshot at their launch. PGI will fix the head hitbox in time.

Why does it feel like every other mech they bring out has a stupidly large head hit box for the first few weeks?

Died more times to headshots in the past couple hours than i did in the last several months combined.

but why does the JagerMech JM6-DD have C.A.S.E. when it also has a XL engine?

I'm loving it personally, using the JR6-S with 2x AC5, 2x LL, 2x ML

Endo Steel & XL300 for weight & speed.

Shooting the ACs is incredible with the gun placement over the shoulders! :P

Edit: The guns changing depending what's placed is pretty cool as well, the AC10 & 20 look rawsome!

For the most part it's simply not very good. It has huge side torsos that are easy to hit from any angle, but you need an XL to make the most out of its numerous hard points. Its head hit box suffers from front-and-center syndrome, and has the added "bonus" of being the part that guided missiles home in on.

On the plus side, its arms are mounted incredibly high on the mech, so you can shoot over cover extremely well.

Overall, i'm gonna stick with cataphracts and catapults.

Real reason mechs with XL have CASE is that CASE is also about preserving the life of the pilot from an ammo explosion, not just preserving the mech. That, and even if a mech with XL is disabled, salvage after battle can allow it to be restored to battleworthiness.

Actually it can. An AC/20 Cat has the guns in the torso, so you can't aim at anything above or below you. The Jag fixes that by having the guns in the arms. Cataphracts can't mount AC/20's in the arms, only Gauss or smaller ACs. This would be a great replacement for my AC/20 Cat if if weren't for the stupidly large head hitbox. This thing can be head shotted from across the map.

The cockpit is again screwed up, getting headshoted by LRMs with armor remaining on all torso sections is pretty lame.
I can't understand why PGI doesn't learn from their previous experiences (Atlas, Awesome, Cataphract).

I tried a few builds with my JM6-A, and failed horribly. Because of unskilled mech, and I lack the money for DHS and FF. So for now I converted it into a missile turret. 1 Tag, 4 LRM15, 8 tons of ammos. One nice thing is that it can actually launch 60 missiles in a single wave, meaning reduced time for the target to seek cover.

Oh, and the deaths... One time from XL engine damage, three times from headshots. I'm half tempted to shelf it until PGI fix the headbox.

Don't you just spread the damage around your mech when you see the big red "MISSILES INCOMING"?

But in MWO it really does nothing at all to help you though, personally I'm kinda sick of buying all these worthless CASE on XL engine mechs.

on the subject of Armour your out of luck remember this mech like the rifleman is NOT designed to engage other mechs its desighned to shoot vtols and fighters out of the sky so bring on the heli support and ill happly put a pair of gause rifles on one and laugth manicaly
