Iam sure they are fixing the LRM Problems soon and buffing the Dmg back to 2.0.

Ya'll know it has been this way for a while, right? I run a LRM boat, and missiles feel no more or less powerful now than they did last patch, or the patch before that...
What I think they did (without noting it) was update the damage tracking to take into account splash damage - so the numbers now reflect actual total damage done, which is what everyone is freaking out about. Combine that with another map that is decent for LRMs and everyone starts whining.
But fear not! Splash damage is going away, at least for a while, next patch So run your missile boats of all flavors while they are hot

The link to the Official Developer Update has been posted several times in the thread, and attention has now shifted to simply "How Bad PGI is." This thread is being jettisoned.

In a fast light mech you shouldn't stop moving. You drag the missiles into objects, enemy mechs are a good one, and keep running. LRMs still fail to hit moving light mechs in the open so if you have cover that's a bonus.
And of course, do not run towards or away (unless you are near their max range) from LRMs even with high speed.

Not true. Why does every clan mech carry LRMs? Why are there mechs dedicated to LRMs? Streaks not good in the TT? Are you high?
The great thing about the TT was that ALL weapons were good (balanced). Ballistics were heavy and ammo dependent, but cool. Lasers had unlimited ammo but were hot. And missiles had minimum ranges, and were moderately hot, moderately heavy and ammo dependent but had good range.

I love how I can get all the news about what's going on in MWO...just by reading JC threads. It's actually awesome.
