The Jagermech appears to take an inordinate amount of damage to the head in all the rounds I've played so far, particularly from LRMs. The head area seems to take damage from LRMs 100% of the time whether they are incoming from the front, side, or rear.
Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just a string of flukes? Visually the area highligted in the mechlab as the head is so small, it seems odd that it's taking so much damage in game.

Just played one game. I took my dual Artemis IV LRM20 Stalker. The enemy team had a couple of Jagermechs on it, one of which got around behind me. I turned around, found him, and blew him away with two volleys, which lit his head up like a Christmas tree (as well as most of the rest of him, but the head definitely went first).
I have no idea if he was twisting around to try to spread the damage, and this is a single, non-repeated anecdote rather than any kind of rigorous study, so take it for what it is worth.

I have been playing him most of the day and he takes a lot of damage. For being a heavy mech he dies faster than some medium mechs. The large head, and big side torso fins, kinda make it a bit of a glass canon. I think it needs a armor tweak.

Ive played multiple so far with the 6a. Died 4 times in it and every one was a head smash from missiles.

I've also killed and been killed in Jaggers all night with headshots. You'd think a head placed square in the middle of the torso would be on the no-no list for mech engineers a thousand years in the future....

just dropped in a match with helmer, and I can confirm the devs are aware and he had a long chat with them... So the issue is known to them so hopefully it will be addressed asap.

Unplayable till it's fixed. Not even taking into account other disadvantages, this is clearly a bug. Gimme a refund for that piece of scrap.

Hey, I've missed the ritual of new 'mechs having oversized head hitboxes. Glad to see it's back.

This is like the cataphract and a taste of what's to come for the orion (and maybe the highlander?).
I wish the visible cockpits reflected accurately as to where the cockpit hitbox actually is, and I wish all those visible cockpits were much smaller.
Seriously, the hunchback cockpit looks like a combine harvesters, the cataphracts looks like a crane, and the catapults looks like an airplane cockpit. None of those vehicles are expected to combat each other in armored warfare.
