LRMs are doing an inordinate amount of damage to legs since last patch. Notice being double legged all the time now, as opposed to very infrequently before today's (Tuesday, Mar 19th) patch.

This is one of the few ironic times to say, put in more leg armor.

I didn't think anything of it, but now that you mention it, yeah, I thought it was just dumb jaegermech pilots. But now that you mention it, I killed an atlas with a legging too. And I spent at least two matches yelling at people "aim for the legs, they're almost gone" on either Jaegers or Atlai.

My mechs have not had this issue, but I have been playing Treb 5J, 7M, and CTF-3D, so I always have jumpjets and intentionally jump to *force* the LRMs to hit my legs, but I have only been legged once. And that always happens to me, so I haven't noticed any problem with my mechs.

Just Jaegers and Atlai.

LRMs got "fixed" with respect to leg damage. Somewhere along the line, this fix meant they now deal hilarious amounts of damage with hilarious splash radius, and this was never fixed because

I think they need to hotfix to remove splash damage ASAP. This is nearly unplayable.

Time to do teh twist? Splash damage will be removed soon, so perhaps this will be indirectly addressed....

My teammates were complaining about this very thing today, and I can confirm legging a couple Mechs myself... something which previously I, as an LRM support pilot, have only seen done to fast movers as the LRMs strike the ground just behind them as the LRMs struggle to track. I have to assume it's part of the splash damage error in effect right now, but to help narrow it down a bit...

Something for LRM jockeys to watch for and try to track:
Are you keeping lock all the way in, or do you loose lock before they strike?
Are you firing indirect, direct, or direct w/Artemis?
What is the target doing? Moving? In cover?

It's not just legs, bro, it's everything. LRMs are completely demolishing armor left and right, regardless of where on the chassis. They are coring the hell out of Assaults with one volley of LRM15, practically.

No they do not. Stop scaring everyone for no reason.

The leg damage got fixed, the splash damage did not got rid of. The numbers are consistant with that.
Mechs standing still seem to suffer to little damage, running mechs seem to suffer to much damage. Scouts seem to suffer almost no damage or get destroyed by around 120 missiles.

Dumbfire did double damage before the patch btw.

Atlases still need a good punding of around 300+missiles to get destroyed. The only mechs spontaneously combusting are jagermechs, because their cockpit is broken/big.

My back has several times now been stripped of armor from front-facing LRM hits. True, 'side torso' hits could bleed into back locations, but we have double armor and I'm losing center torso which is the heaviest rear facing.

Probably splash, the same issue with your legs. They need to remove missile splash damage, or set the missile to splash ONLY UP TO ITS QUOTED FIGURE PER MISSILE. Right now missile weapons can do far more damage than they claim by the weird splash effects.

Sorry, this is on a Catapult.

You got hit. 2x20LRM would instakill you everytime since always, IF THEY HIT YOU. I instakill scouts form 100% to 0% all the time, if they choose to run the wrong way around. Very little scouts do it, but if you run in a straight line I will alpha kill you 100% of the time. Even when LRM did 1.5 damage.

Scouts are swim or sink. They take little to no damage from LRM, unless they run in a straight line, get stuck or choose the wrong moment to change the direction then they disintegrate in a moment. Was always like that with LRM. I hat two cicadas three games ago, they ran circles around my buddies, while I was firing the whole time at them with 3x15LRM Artemis IV and TAG. Both Cicadas did sourvive. I legged one with my laser...then they came for me and killed me. I was shooting at them for around 2 full minutes non stop.

Also you got hit by streaks, not just LRM. Streaks are way more broken then LRM right now. Streaks killed you not LRM fire.

Twisting literally doesn't matter right now. A single LRM20 volley can destroy half my mech right now no matter where it hits.
