I would love to have one of the Highlanders in both the classic scale and N-Scale because quite frankly I've moved more into that scale. Its bigger and better all around. I have these two mechs I commissioned from a 3D artist. I had an original redraw of the Battleax done up and then had that constructed in 3D. Here are pics of the Jagermech 3 and my Battleax. I would have liked the quality to be a bit better but its what I could get at the time.
These figures are available on Shapeways.com
You models seem to have a much higher quality to them. ANy chance you will be doing the Blackjack? :D

These are table top size. The base is 1.25 inches wide based on that i made the models as big as i could on them without their feet going to far over the edge. I used the catapult as the base scale and scaled all the mechs (save the raven) to the catapult. the highlander is 4.5 cm tall including the base. so they are to scale with eachother. but i dont know what the real scale value is.

The raven is 20% bigger than what it is suposed to be compared to the other mechs because his legs would have been 1mm thick and thats simply too thin to hold it up.

I have plans to print a bigger version of some but i need to spend some time with these larger models to make them affordable. i'm not willing to spend 200 euro's for a single figure.

Nice pose. although might i suggest you remove the antennae, cause they are going to break off garuanteed or they will turn out all mangled. once printed.

Btw you mentioned there is a meshlab feature that allows you to generate walls of a certain thickness. i've looked through this program but i havent found that feature, where can i find it. so far i've been making all my models hollow by hand.

Yeah, but by taking the Raven out of MWO's scale, you actually made it more accurately to the way it SHOULD scale against the others.

Someone made a very good 3D model for the MWO's Blackjack (I can't find the link right now - it is in the art sub-forums).

Whatever it is, it looks like you're planning on making it posable, if that ratchet at the joint is any indications.

As for what it is, it's obvious if you simply look at the left side of the forum. It's the upper leg of a catapult. The right-hand one, I do believe.

Well yeah its a catapult i thought that was obvious but yeah i intend to make it poseable. on all counts. its probably gonna be big like 10 inches tall. and i'll print it in segments so i dont go bankrupt making this thing.

i'll also add a little bit of extra detail

Just out of interest, what 3D printer do you use? Quite interested in getting one, seems like this sort of thing is going to get bigger and bigger.

Am I right if I assume you've made the most out of the fact that catapult in-game cockpit fits perfectly into the mech model one? Also, did you add something to the back to fill the gap (since you have open cockpit you cna look into and all)?

I've made some modifications to the cockpit so it would fit inside but I havent added in the back of the chair or the back of the cockpit yet. i'm still trying to decide where the cockpit should open.

cause i'm not convinced the entire canopy flips up. i'm guessing that the circle thingy above the canopy is the entry point for the pilot. do any of the devs want to weigh in?

Honestly it would only make sense for PGI to partner with Catalyst and Iron Wind Metals to do an MWO Technical Readout and mini line. It would be great cross promotion.

I would love to buy this, PGI/IGP get on this!

I like big 'mechs and I cannot lie. Loving that it is posable too, this needs to be done more often!

I think you're right, that round bit is the hatch and the upper part of the canopy and that section of the head blowout during the ejection sequence.

It opens up. There is an axle for pivoting at the back top end of the canopy for it to rotate on.

Probably could have made image that smaller in retrospect.
