I bet they will come out with a a missile flush , it will cost 400 mc, and it will fix half the damage that lrm,s due lol it will only cost 400 mc, what a deal

I have not noticed a reasonable difference in LRM since before and after patch.

However, I am still of the belief they are overpowered.
That's why I am using them on every mech now. If you can't beat em, join em.

I think they exaggerated the splash damage to get test data on how to fix it after removing in on April 2. It's definitely broken right now. I know Testing Ground has weird effect on weapon damage, but I was able to kill the Atlas with just 2 salvos of 2xLRM20. That didn't happen before the patch.

That does seem the most likely scenario. Essentially, a coding error and design imbalances were covering each other up, and now that they fixed the one, everything's gone haywire.

And that, dear reader, is a classic example of why making a game is so damn hard and why we need to give PGI a break. Games like this are very complicated systems with many, many working parts, and figuring out which part is causing the problem and how to fix it is very difficult and very time consuming.

Having said that, I think things are broken enough now as to merit a hot-fix. I could definitely understand why PGI would be loathe to do so when they're already planning to turn splash off in a couple weeks, but they're going to bleed users like mad unless they fix it soon.

I thought the LRM's were "reasonable" prior i just had the issue with splash... this is just just like the artemis patch now.

Everytime I am killed by LRM salvo's now its almost every time a headshot.

So I'm not imagining it! Last night after the patch, I kept asking 'has anyone noticed buff to lrms?' and kept getting negative answers. Then I got a match with 1,100 damage from nothing but lrm10 (and the occasional long-range LL), when my normal damage total is around 400 in that mech. Good to know I didn't just get really good all of a sudden. :)

My vote is that next patch, we will be given nothing but 6MG jagers to pilot around.
Here's hoping the machine gun wars will soon commence.
