When they announced the creation of the Tourmaline Dessert map, I got all moist...Imagining a wonderful map with lots of color. OOPS...My mistake!
I had grand imaginings of a planet who's dessert was a burnt umber with pink and tan variation sands, and large green and watermelon colored crystal formations that would glisten and glitter in the light from the way too close star.
What did I see? Mottled browns and grays, same as EVERY OTHER MAP.
PGI should take the opportunity to spice up their maps...I mean really, only browns and grays? It should be as wonderful to the eyes as it is to the wallet, well close to that anyway. Is everyone at PGI color blind?
#disappointed

uh have you ever been a real desert? it pretty much is mottled brown everywhere... LOL.
If it was like a jungle map, i could see complaining about the lack of colors being valid, but its a frickin desert...

Sounds like you wanted to hotdrop onto Candyland and fight amongst the giant Jolly Ranchers and the broken tailings from the Life Saver mines.

I only go to deserts that look like they were hit by a skittle explosion. And the op kind of has a point while we expect deserts to be brown/tan/sand/etc we're on Earth, given that this desert most certainly isn't our planet they could have made the crystal formations all sorts of colors. Would have been lolsy.

There is an Official Desert Map Feedback thread specifically for feedback like this. I'll request that feedback about the map be posted in that thread so the Developers can get first-word form the Users about how we think about their new map.
