This isn't exactly a bug, but it is short sight as far as I have learned.

My Centurion Yen-Lo-Wang (and all my raven models as well) used to be able to aim their arm-mount weapons independently of the torso left-and-right before the latest patch.

No, even with the arm-lock OFF, I only retain vertical (up-down) aim independent of the torso. The horizontal (left-right) independent aim is gone.

More experienced players informed me that these mechs "don't have the arm articulator" in the mechlab, and expect I can magically know this from lore to mean "no horizontal arm aim".

1) This wasn't put into the patch notes as "fixed" as it should have been - if this is a fix.
2) If it isn't a fix, then it's a bug that's making specific mechs very hard to play.
3) PGI, please provide a raw sheet of these torso twist, arm twist, ect numbers like you do in patch notes for all mechs! I cannot find any to verify if my experience is a fix or a bug! It should be a very, very easy to find sticky in the forums about mech's numbers.

I'm extremely frustrated that it's assumed I know mech lore since there is no in-game information about the articulators, joints, and other parts to the mech that are shown in mech-lab as denoting if a mech can turn the arms.

You must be mis-remembering.
Yen Lo Wang, Ravens, Jenners, Cicadas, Catapults, Jagermechs, and Stalkers all lack lower arm actuators (visible in mechlab) and are thus not able to track left-right with their arms independently from torso motion.

Thank you.. but I used to have slight aim as if I had lower arm actuator... so a 'bug' is now fixed on my game.

however... pretend that I'm a total fool about lore (as I am, and a bit frustrated) - do you have a link that says anywhere from PGI that mechs without a lower arm actuator can't aim horizontally? half my problem is having no information to back this up from the game creators.

Prior to the patch I noticed that the arm reticule on mechs without lower actuators was trailing the torso reticule while torso twisting.

As to PGI stating that left-right aiming is a function of the lower arm actuator, I've never seen it stated directly by PGI, but all mechs without lower arm actuators (and only mechs without lower arm actuators) lack the abilitiy to aim left-right with their arms in gameplay. I can only assume this was intentional.

Thank you for confirming I'm not crazy about what my game used to do. You've been very helpful OMA.
