Verdict On Coolant Flush - "necessary To Compete?"

So, simple question, aimed mostly at truly "competitive" players - Is the use of Coolant Flush mandatory to be competitive?
I know that what we have doesn't quite compare to MW:4 mechanics, but I fear that it will become or already is "mandatory" to compete, or giving just too much benefit on certain mechs.
Just a simple poll. Not trying to whine or moan or complain, just want to know the down-low now that you number-crunchers have had a few days with it.

So at least some feel it is.
Again, not complaining or trying to start a ruckus, just looking for info from the pros.

And I voted no.. if you need a coolant pod to be competitive, you're doing something horribly wrong.
It only helps you ONCE in the match..and unless you're one of "those" that likes to charge headlong into a non-tactical, unorganized grand melee of death.. it won't help you.

Haven't used it, and won't use it. My module slots are used for "real" modules.
Also in 8v8 comp matches, it's as worthless as boobs on a bull.
I can't think of any comp build that would benefit from this wasted module slot.

It could turn the tide of a brawl for one team to be loaded with coolant and the other without.
I'm sure you can get by pugging just fine without ever using coolant, but in the very close high level games you're going to want that edge.

I'm under no illusion that Coolant Flush will decide an entire game, but I think it very much can decide a single skirmish. Particularly if used "en masse" or at the right moments by a well-coordinated team.

Expect to see it on every brawling D-DC and poptarting cataphract in competitive play, because when time and alpha strike delivery matters, coolant flush is the way to go.
This thing needs to get booted out the door ASAP.

Coolant flushes are only going to matter to people who don't know how to make a balanced mech. I have been having my best games on the new hot desert map. they shut down, i don't. (I DONT USE COOLANT FLUSHES) the small flush only cancels the heat from one shot of 2 Small Lasers, or one Med Pulse. If you have to have them, they are not going to help you. if you build a balanced mech and running hot from constant fire, then they will be a big help and should WEIGH at least a half ton.

How would these work on a 3D cata? What would coolant bring for a jump sniper who's shots are back down to 0 heat before the next round of shots is fired?
Please explain how this will work with a 3D cata and the DDC, cause really I have alot of better modules than this POS Coolant trash.
