Mechs being dropped in desert are taking falling leg damage before the match even starts.
Additionally spiders that get walked on by their own side take leg damage where other mechs do not.

It's cause spiders are horrible evil things that should be stepped on by everyone. Friend and foe alike..
Oh, right. The mech... *cough* Haven't noticed any leg damage in my atlas, but I'll keep an eye out. And I'll try not to bump into any spiders on my team till this gets fixed.

Have had this happen as well for two patches now. Most often occurs in Tourmaline, Alpine and Caustic. Apparently a mech will spawn about twenty feet above the ground before the match starts and causes significant leg damage. How has this not been addressed?

more importantly..why are mechs that have jumpjets taking falling damage from such low heights? JJ mechs should have a much, much higher falling damage threshold. Shock absorbers and what not in the design.

Just dropped on desert with my commando and legs were already yellow at the start of the game. You probably won't notice it on larger mechs since the fall damage is negligable.
