Well, I guess...I sort of figured this was all interconnected.

So guys...Looking at the new link that was given to us, that big red eye is odly familiar.

It's the Commando. A few other pieces also match the Commando's arms, but a lot of the pieces seem to be something completely different, like the splayed toes.

Although I wish it was the Cyclops, I love that beast.

I think Paul and Kyle are just set this up to keep us occupied brushing up on our shell scripts instead of harassing the devs until open beta rolls out.

Here's the image with a tight gaussian blur applied and a couple of the tiles flipped: Me thinks it could be a Cyclops - though the arms and a few of the other assets do appear to belong to the commando image.

hey, anyone tried fiddling with their computers clock to see if it changes the version number? I wanted to try myself setting it to year 3049, but i can't get it that high

I think we are a little late to the party gents, looks like this was all to do with something going on in March. The posts from which can be found here:

http://mwomercs.com/...post__p__174416

I think that most of the posts have been censored by "comstar" in one sense or another, removing/changing text and pictures. Might still be able to learn something though.

And perhaps the terminal will serve some purpose in the future.

Hmm. Unclear as to the syntax for the cp command

can anything be copied? does copying to another location accomplish anything?

does anything accomplish anything?

I checked the code, the date won't matter.

cp <source> <dest>

You can use it to copy only files.

A quick sarna.net search revealed that Comstar has no "Mu" branch (although "Delta" is non-ROM intelligence) but the WoBbies DO have a "Mu/Delta" branch in charge of counter-intelligence! This supports my theory that the Devs are toaster-worshippers! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TO THE NEAREST CASTLE BRIAN!!!

Eh. Maybe it's my Chrome setup but even enabling the flag calls the install but causes whole browser to crash.
Still digging through other JS though.

Wondering why they have a pseudo web server file-structure visible. Especially a usr/ /bin directory. No use of . script calling allowed either.

Already tried that a while ago. The cat command works on your own text files, but still doesn't open images you drag over.

It does but you get a bunch as ASCII coding. I've already tried yesterday when this thread first appeared.

Also it's not a full bash. It includes the most basic Linux commands.

Some more information - I checked my cookies and found a key value pair "sfct = unit37" no idea what this means but it can't be a coincidence. I tried clearing my cookies to see which page exactly cached this value but I've been unsuccessful so far.

Something I found while poking around the terminal:
http://mwomercs.com/...post__p__296256

This nubnub character seems to have friended everybody and I noticed his location says he’s on Callison.
The planet Callison has changed hands several times with heavy mercenary involvement. This info and the countdown timer leads me to believe that we will see a map demo at E3 and Callison will be a planet to fight for.

Well, all the files pre-loaded into the terminal are either empty or broken for me. Including the "helloworld.cpp" which contained no code when I downloaded it. Though when I uploaded my own pics the opened fine.

And what's this about a newer version? Mines still 1.0.0

So is there any significance in the fact that the lettered text files are not arranged in alphabetical order?

they're lettered 'g a c d e f b h i j k l m n'
