I think Paul and Kyle are just set this up to keep us occupied brushing up on our shell scripts instead of harassing the devs until open beta rolls out.

Hah quite possible. Now back to those files...

There does not seem to be any real significance to this right now, maybe down the road? Who knows.

dont loose to much time on that :

its only "script" there is NO FILES AT ALL, its only a script that make you beleive you browse folders and files ... nothing is hidden (version of terminal and folders / files are hard coded)

so maybe its an APRIL joke that they have not put on first page

No point. Script is visible, there's not much in there. Files and folders are created by another pretty simple script, from which it's obvious that the files are not supposed to hold any content.

There is, probably, some possibility that you could get another version of terminal by feeding the browser some other cookies.

see this more like some "interactive" background content, you could play with all that untill game is released, but it dont give any bonus at end

sigh, once again, something that is isolating people who don't know how to use Code, as long as it's only fluff then I guess i will pout in my corner over here but if it's something like Beta Codes or free founders packs my pout will quickly turn into a snarl and hissssss

It's using a browser, it doesn't require any special knowledge or abilities. It does, however, seem to only work in Chrome..which makes sense, as it's using ChromeOS' filesystem API.

I'm still crashing when I try to install and I'm still in v1.0.0 on the latest version of chrome with all the experimental flags enabled. Help?

Can't help ya.. Since the whole thing is Javascript driven, the only way to 'upgrade'..would be to upgrade the Javascript called by the site (or, have a way to call that JS separately). Not sure why it's crashing on install..

Does any one know where the app is being installed from for the "install" command? In other words, where is the app located on their server, and can I download it to my computer?

http://static.mwomer...r_manifest.json

That is the source definition to be called by the 'install' command (located in comstar_terminal.js) as a CRX-less web app.
Specifically from line 15 of user-end source of static.mwomercs.com

I've messed with some of the Google dev stuff before and even run my Chrome in developer mode but for some reason still crash the browser when trying to install the app from the Comstar Console (yes I have the experimental flag set too)

edit for minor clarification

Does anyone know who nubnub really is? Is he an extra devoted person who signed up to screw with the comm, or a tool the devs ( or a dev ) is using to screw with us, or give hints about things? If this has been confirmed I'd like to know, I haven't been keeping up with the breaking news on Nubnub

Cheers, folks
