What Hawkeye 72 stated could explain why the original 'nubnub' profile number is cited in the Comstar Terminal that seems to be in development to provide the stats we were trying to track.
If so then it's a nice nod by the company to someone who was trying to do something nice but broke their stuff and now they are trying to give us the nice thing on their own accord.

I'm still curious what forum suite this is <.<

Nuts...I am going to lose my monopoly on forum statistics here soon then

by the way i wonder how he could have added 100.000 friend by hand to his own profile. as he know about the url static.mwo and show another interface i see its not a 0 level user. the wget stat command used with new interface seems to show how they collect data, on lots of websites we have a google user, seems nubnub is this one here :D

last thing, check script of this page here... the official forum, you will see funny url ;)

Not that this will help solve anything but this is interesting. nubnub is the only person to view my profile, which is nearly empty of information. He/she viewed it on April 13, before I completed my beta information. Until now, I have not made a single post so I wonder why the interest in me. I doubt many remember me from way back in the day so I do not think that is it.

Alright, the site used to work for me, but no longer does. No files are present anymore. I get an error message every time I open up the site and I am stuck on version 1.0.0

How did you get to the upper versions in the first place, because i am stuck on 1.0 ever since I went there first. Do I have to type something in to get version 2.0.28?

I never got past version 1.0.0. So don't ask me how they are at 2.0.28

I just checked for you: my laptop never opened the site before, I just opened it and everything worked fine, installed the plugin and everything still worked fine. Perhaps your plugin got corrupted somehow?

Also, I don't seem to be able to 'upgrade' from version 1.0.0 either. On none of the pc's I have here. I reviewed the javascript and I see no way one could possibly switch versions. Any version switches would have to be made server-side.

Edit: To be precise, I haven't found *anything* useful at all in the javascript code. There appears to be no hidden functionality. I see no useful calls to anything server-side and all the clientside code is just an empty GUI with nothing special to it.

I should clarify that the error message isn't from my browser. It is on the terminal itself right above the user prompt at the start. Now when I try to change directories, there are none. The 'init' command loads nothing, I can no longer make my own directories. When I enable crx-less web apps and try to install, it crashes chrome.

Yah, that crash is 'normal', it's a bug in chrome and will happen every time you install the plugin. It does install however. Repeated installations wont do anything.
Could you try opening "filesystem:http://static.mwomercs.com/temporary/" in chrome? That should give you access to the virtual filesystem.
There ought to appear a list of the folders in the 'application'.

Also, would you mind copypasting the error the terminal gives you? I could take a look at the code and see what's causing it.

I have poked at the v1.0.0 terminal a bit more than I should have. Nothing is there other than some silly fluff stuff as stated in a few places on this thread. The app does not install if Chrome crashed. There is only the default set of extensions, plugins, and manifest in my folders.

As for Hawkeye's issue, may need to clear the cookies for mwomercs.com and static.mwomercs.com as that has the temporary data the 'file system' pulls from. Specifically the one titled "File system" if you know how so you don't loose your 'topics read' and other forum data.

Tried it again on a different computer. Same thing pops up upon going to the website

Error: INVALID_STATE_ERR

so when I started typing in commands, nothing happened. It just kept repeating. No idea what is wrong. I will try tynaiden's suggestion. Like I said this worked fine for me a few weeks ago when it launched. Now nothing works

Here is a screencap

I now understand who nubnub is, thanks for the explanation Hawkeye 72, and it seems that the terminal is currently off line. I'm hoping for this means we will have an updated version within a few hours or days.

A more probable reason although I care not to spend too much time looking into a error or debugging something of a teaser.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3488698/invalid-state-err-dom-exception-11-webkit

It's broken or partially disabled internally at the moment.
I do hope it gets updated soon, been a bit of fun and distraction poking at the thing and wondering what they are going to do with it.

edit: minor request <.< could we get a Ambervision theme?! I did ever so love those monitors back in the day.

Thanks for the link here. Would have done some searching myself but a female friend was heading overseas this morning so I was preoccupied.

And this is making me think the whole terminal may be pulled now and that its purpose was already served.

As a disclaimer I can't be 100% sure I am right. However I am 99.99% sure I am lol. The evidence just doesn't support nub nub being a developer. I also do not believe the developers have given him any extra privileges or data since his original profile is still locked for the most part. As for his appearances on the terminal and other Comstar related data...half the forum believes he is a developer, so what is the best way to keep conspiracies fueled? By not debunking them and instead putting on just enough wood to keep the fire simmering.

EDIT:

Pretty sure the terminal is dead and over

Keep in mind, since the bulk of the javascript running static.mwomercs.com is based on ChromeOS's filesystem API... it wouldn't be hard for anyone to get an updated version of the script, match the changes made on the static version... and run it locally with the higher version.
