New Player Frustration

Other issues I had, I guess it is ecm that prevents enemy mechs from popping up on the HUD so I was getting destroyed without seeing enemy. Also seems lock on just goes mech to mech, no way to go back or lock on to closest.
Night time city battles are just impossible for me. moving in cities just as bad got stuck in one position and would dies before turnign around.
Would suggest a newbie setting for players that maybe the game would group them together so that they don't get wiped out from vet players in light mechs.
Game very pretty and I wish you luck with it but I won't be comming back as for me it is unplayable.

The game will actually do that as your ELO rating drops.
Then that is good for game. Thanks. Of course what is ELO?
Also no idea how many credits I had.

What sort of difficulty with aiming? Ok, you couldn't aim at them. Why is that?
Targeting will always target the Mech closest to the reticle.
Did you try using night vision of thermal vision?

Tried Night and thermal vision still could not make enough details out to pilot well.
when went to move reticle the smallest mouse movement would move the reticle accross the cockpit view. Therefore could not get reticle on mech to hit it. 10 battles did total of 10 points of damage.

I find that, if you switch between the two, you can easily make out the terrain and enemy Mechs. Though it's not a good idea to look at night vision for very long, as it's like looking at the sun. There is an upcoming revision to the view modes in April I think.
Well, that's generally what happens. You move the mouse, and the reticles move with it. Not sure why you can't aim precisely with it.
Do you mean the mouse is too sensitive? Have you tried turning it down in windows?

I played MW4, MW3, and MW2 and it took me more than 2 hours to get the hang of all of this.

If you hit the target button, it will target the closest target to your crosshair, so you actually can select who you target.

Thats a good idea, having 25 cadet games played with other cadets in a closed environment would be a good thing.

See aiming become 1000 times easier.

What you are describing matches poor game performance due to hardware issues pretty well. If your screen is skipping that badly when you try to move and aim, you may just not have a good enough PC to run the game. A lot of machines have trouble, if they're not fairly new/higher-end. If, on the other hand, you're just moving your mouse a tiny bit and the reticle still jumps around your screen like a crazed game of Pong, you may have some wierd hardware compatibility issues. Make sure all your drivers are updated for all your hardware, etc, etc, and check the tech support forums. Most people do not have this issue, so it may well be solvable.

Dude, your sig. It's wrong man. It goes:
1. Double kill
2. Multi kill
3. Ultra kill

Crank down your mouse sensitivity. About 500-800 DPI is what you probably want to shoot for.
You also seem to be mentioning issues that might be lag/hardware related. Can you provide the specs for your computer (CPU, RAM, Video Card, etc)?

Whats your gaming background? I dont find the aiming to be much different than most other FPS on PC. Only thing is theres the added complication of piloting a lumbering robot. The night/heat vision can be disorienting if you're not used to it or familiar with the maps though.
