PGI, you've grown to be a source of boundless amazement to me.

We were meant to be in the middle of community warfare right now by the original plans... in fact, by now, we'd have even had the clan mechs.

What happened? Why so many delays? Why so many problems?

I understand delays and problems PGI, I do, it happens in film-making all the time, and I'm sure it happens in Game Development. But my suspension of disbelief can only go so far!

If it's simply that you "over-estimated your initial ability to deliver the content on time." that's all you had to say.

Instead of leveling with your community, and explaining what's going on behind the scenes, we're all left in the dark, those of us who remember your "Promises" your original goals, are left scratching our heads.

It's gotten to the point that you're laughed at because "PGI worked on Duke Nukem Forever... so this is par for the course."

PGI is the butt of every internet joke for those that have been following the development of this game. The pure, insanity that seems to follow every decision...

I don't even expect an answer at this point. Any more, I just come here to vent, to complain in vain because the forums "Do not represent the player base"

I've grown tired MWO forums, so tired... I've been following this project since 2009. 4 years... 4 years of hope, 4 years of prayers... and right now, nearly 9 months of watching a company take a beloved franchise and bash it over the head like clubbing a baby seal. Wringing it for all it's worth, trying to milk every last cent they can out of it, without delivering on the promises made.

Just over a month left... 40ish more days before my premium time runs out... and then, then I'll move on. I may come back now and again, play a few matches here and there. But as it sits, right now. MWO is not the game I pledged $120 towards. Mechwarrior Online is not the promise you sold us PGI. And you should be ashamed of that.

TL;DR. But to summarize, no one really cares to read your over dramatized excuses for not wanting to play anymore. So just go away.

Taking some time out of the beta is often the right medicine for such a malady. I had to take a few months out myself a while back. It's true the game is not developing as quickly as I think everyone (PGI included) would like, but it is what it is and as long as its a good game when its finished then the wait will be worth it.

The problem is, this game won't be what's promised.

It's unfortunate...but the problem here is that PGI is not calling the shots on the development, much less the supposed "roadmap" they laid out for us months ago. Under my sig is a link to a perfect example to what's going on here. Hence why my gripe is no longer aimed at PGI.

The two company's are too closely tied for me to care. If it's IGP, and the blame lays with them, then fine, they are to blame, but we're not going to get the game that many of us pledged 120 bucks towards... or in some cases 60 or 30... The point is, we were sold an idea... this product will NEVER live up to that idea, and it certernly won't live up to that idea by release.

This isn't an "i'm leaving" thread, this is a "I'm tired... and tired of your crap" thread.

So basically you are tired of things not happening when you want them to?

Welcome to life mate. Deal with it and have some patience.

They are openly admitting they overestimated their abilities to keep to a schedule, that's as good as you will get out of any company. Yet you think them taking the time to explain every single little problem they are having to you will help?

As for them trying to make money, try thinking in real life terms for a while, they are a company that need to make money, that's reality, if they don't then they will go bankrupt, especially after 4 years of expensive development with no income.

I for one think the game is great and am getting a bit tired of whiny little people like you who complain because they don't get exactly what they want when they want.

Oh look. Another poster/player that thinks he's important enough to make a I'm QQuiting thread.

Well... I did make a post to say as much; but it was an post in another thread to punctuate the point of that thread!

In my case, I'm QQuiting until the game isn't sniper warrior online.

Allow me to ask you a couple of questions then.

1)How invested in Battletech/Mechwarrior are you? Are you just an old fan? or do you have Family ties to the property that keep you coming back for more?

2) How long have you been following this game's development Did you follow any of the other games? Did you follow MW5's development before it was canned, how about Mechwarrior 3015?

For the first one, I've been playing the tabletop for a few years now, however my experience with battletech/mechwarrior stems from my father, who introduced me to the pods out in San Diego back in '96. To many this wouldn't be a big deal, but considering I had never met my father until that point, I'd have to say that it holds a special place in my heart that one of the first things he shared with me in my life was Battletech/Mechwarrior.

I've been following development of "mechwarrior 5" since Microsoft canned it in favor of Mech Assault.

You seem to think that my issue is with this game not growing fast enough, that "I want it all and I want it now." when actually, what I want, is for this game not to fail. I've walked this path before, with this license, and seen where it goes. Mech Assault and Mech Assault 2, while ok games, buried this franchise for 10 years [and Mechwarrior Dark Age almost did the same to the table top game] And I'll be damned if I want to see the same happen again! And this keeps feeling like it's heading down the same road.

We have bugs in this game that have been around since the 2nd wave of closed beta! We have issues that haven't been addressed in over 9 months! We're nearing "Release" of the game, and half the content ment to be in the game isn't even there yet!

Hell EA could buy this title and we'd never know development is so damn slow.

I find your lack of patience disturbing. They don't have a very large team. Simple as that. Luckily they're apparently hiring more people.

4 years? That cannot be right. Whenever players complain about the progress with the development of this game
they always get the response that this game has only been in development for a year or so. When did that change
to 4 years?

Everytime I try to leave something tells me to turn around round..round..round
Cause how could I ever leave the only one that holds me down down..down
Cause I know we can work it out, work it out, talk it out, talk it out stick it out stick it out ooh ooh ooh
Everytime I try to leave we find a way to figure it out
Thats why I always turn around
