Either get rid of the option or let everyone who has bought it use it for all mechs or give refunds. It costs 750mc 10 times what a single use option is there are no mechs that have 10 varients. It is not specified in game that it is only for single mech types. Why is the option there with no option to get it refunded? Is it just thee to screw paying players out of there money? Will this be fixed soon and will we get refunds or unlocks for all mechs to use it?

Honestly, I don't get it either. I'd unlock a couple camo patterns if I could use them on any 'mech. But restricting it to a single chassis (especially when I collect as many 'mechs as I can)? I'll pass.

Is anyone really buying the unlocks?

Ya. I think most people would like it as an account wide unlock.

I bought it...looking at it now, it doesnt say anywhere that its unlocked for all mechs....i must have been drunk (which i often am on my days off).

Its more likely though that i bought it because i found it inconceivable that it would cost ten times more than a single camo unlock and NOT be avalible to all chassis. ( i remember being quite surprised)

Seriously...who buys 3(ish) of each variant to get a total of 11 so this unlock is worthwhile.

I can think of a reason to buy 2 of your most favourite...but hopefuly we get a "save loadout" feature so we can swap builds easier and it would become utterly pointless to own more than 1 of each variant.

The pricing should be scaled in either direction so it becomes worthwhile with 3 variants.

It should be unlocked across all Mech's if not then the price should be scaled down like Bayamon said.

It costs more to be permanent. If you change a mechs paint that has a one time application, it's gone. It was all explained. It's your own fault for not paying attention.

Can't believe there are people here still complaining about the paint store. It's light years better than the former one time use system. They have to make their money somehow, and one 750 MC purchase (i.e. $5) to unlock account wide access and give every mech you own a nice paint job is not going to pay their server bills this month, or next, or the one after that.

How about we let them try to use cosmetic items to pay for our free to play game without the constant, entitled whining?

If they can't make their money through cosmetic items they'll have to make it through P2W consumables. How many of you people bitching about paint prices prefer the game going even further in that direction?

The only reason they are there is to get 1000% more profit from an unwitting player.
Seriously, think about it. There's no explanation that it is BattleMech type specific, and no one in their right mind would ever buy 10 variants of 1 mech.

I know someone who bought it just on accident, and then figured he'd be able to use it on all mechs.
I explained it to him and he wrote a ticket asking for a refund.

Oh but they don't refund for that.
How herpdy-*******-derp convenient.

doesn't really matter. just don't buy it.

people arn't going to buy it. because you'd have to switch camo 10 times for it to be worth it. not the best business model. but neither was the old system.

300 mc. That's the price point. Make the camo unlock for all mechs just like paint. And while they are at it, make the paint colors 300 mc as well. They did the camo colors right when they put them on sale, and I picked them all up.

I'd have bought all the camo's and colors already at 300 mc... but at the prices they are currently at, it's no sale.

Who will win? Will I have the patience to wait for them to lower the price, or will I change my mind and decide that $2.00 for a camo pattern for an atlas is a good deal? Time will tell.

Long term thinking here... but I'd rather pay 2-3K for a pattern that is usable on all mechs than the 750 per chasis. Why does this work? Long term, while the number of Mechs will increase, so will the amount of desired camo patterns. In the short term it may not seem like a good deal for PGI, but in all reality they should be releasing a camo pattern at least 2-3 times per year that is a must have, along with the patterns per patch that may be niche?

The 75 MC one is a one-time use; if you switch to something else you need to re-purchase it if you want to use it again.
The 750 MC is an unlock, if you have two you can switch between them every time you drop for no additional cost.

You're seeing malice where there is none, it's actually a pretty nice system.

Those who just want to paint their 'mech once can pay only 75 MC for a camo.
Those who want to paint, re-paint, and paint their 'mech over and over can pay 750 MC for the ability to do that.

Nope. I have bought some colors, because I can keep them. I'm not bothering with camo patterns until they re-tier the pricing and give us the option to buy the pattern once for a global unlock.

just spend the $20 for each and every camo across all weight classes. Then spend $4 per color; let's say 12 colors do go with. So you are only spending like $100 for color items that you only see in mech lab (until 3PV comes)

Me too!
I'd be more inclined to try some camo if I could get it per weight class or for all mechs present and future (even if that means a higher initial price).

I bought the Tiger camo for my Centurions, which means I can freely switch between
* Standard
* PC Gamer
* Tiger
As often as I like. I think that was worth 750 MC - that's like $3.75, right?

For your primary chassis, it's probably worth it. But I'm a collector. I never sell anything, and the more 'mechs you have, the less you're inclined to unlock anything for a single chassis.
