See, e.g. this thread (not IFF nor target reticles but on minimap). Bug has not been resolved so far. I got it three times today, has occured before but only once in a while.

Edit: Just been on Alpine, 3x zoom, then no IFF. Thought it was temporary (known bug), but IFF didn't reappear when zooming out. Maybe related?

Worse/more frequent when zooming in. Often I have IFF unless I zoom in, sometimes it is to level 2, sometimes to level 3. Very irritating.

I got it 3 times today, it's like I'm stuck in an ECM field through the entire game.

The only temp solution i found is to shutdown and start your mech. More like the mech systems need reboot like windows :) .

This is happening way too much now. It was reported back in 1.2.177 and twice in 1.2.190.

Please put this high up on the list of priorities.

Your last option vote isn't optimal for me. I don't use 3x zoom, so a "Don't Know/Use/Abstain" option would be nice.

It looks like this is getting worked on. Too bad it has not migrated to a pinned poll or "known issue" so that people can stop reporting it.

really buggy patch overall.

no hud bug is more common
no friendly or enemy markers is common-never had this until this patch. hud is working, just cant target anyone or see who is friendly or enemy

I have been experiencing this on all maps, 3x zoom removes my IFF tags from both allies and enemies.

I get this on a regular basis, but something has started to occur lately. After zooming out, I will only get a "select" few IFF icons, as in,.. the friendly farther out with not show IFF.

Just yesterday on playing Tourmaline for the 5th time in a row!!!!!! I was in a battle with a Cent and ended his life. A teammate that was off in the distance about 150m died, I don't know who kiiled him. I turned to my right and about 100m away was an Atlas,.. I was like okay cool I have a backup. He had no IFF, so I figured he was a friendly and started to follow him,.. well about 10sec later his indicator turns red,.. and I was like WTF.

So long story short,. I shot him 4 times with ac20, and I died. As far as I could tell he might have had the bug at the same time.

PGI lacks the skill needed to code this properly , every patch intruduces more new bugs than it solves

This. I wish they'd concentrate more of their resources on client stability and bug hunting. I'd gladly wait a few weeks more for new maps or new mechs if that meant that those things would be adressed.

Concerning this bug, I never had it before the last patch. Since the patch, I had it four times, so yes, it does occur more often.

I swear, every single time I get the HUD bug, it gets more creative.

Once, I targeted the enemy, and there was no missing damage indicator (the mech rag-doll as it were).

Then there was the time that my arm targeting cursor was "stuck" on the left side...

It's not getting better, and it's like some rotten easter egg.
