i like lpl because of the better dmg, and since they shoot faster (same recycle rate, but shorter firing duration means they begin charging for the next shot faster, as well as start cooling down faster, just look at small pulses vs regular smalls on mwo wiki) it tends to stack up pretty fast,
and how is that a monster?? its to mild for my taste 39% cooling? meh 12.98 dps? meh, seems to have wasted some tonnage on heatsinks and srm ammo, don't ya think? i wouldn't like using someone elses idea either, and it doesnt even have a gun :/
and joedawg, i do want to have a beastly set-up when i start off, i sold everything inside of my ctf when i first got it, since i would be replacing it anyway, waited 2 weeks after buying it to be able to actually use it, and it was sooo worth it
ctf is being used to test weapons out for my future atlas build anyway, so won't have much testing to do
does all that sound weird to you guys???
My Ctf, Any Advice

heres my result from tweaking your "monster"
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...3610febceb29247
1.52 dps increase, can mod it a bit more for increased speed, decreased heat eff. and vice versa
medium pulse laser is 1.6 dps, regular is 1.25 for reference

also, sorry for posting so much, but my D even has a higher sustained dps then your monster 5.06 vs 5.15, not much but it still is pretty important, especially since my alpha is higher 2

Hey man on paper it may look good but once your on the battlefield you will notice that the statistics are only that, numbers.
Basic rules for a Brawler Armor, high damage and good heat management. You are usually right in the middle of the battlefield so an Atlas that has shut down will have every mech in range ADS (aiming down sights). Heat Management should always be your priority so you can sustain your dmg output for as long as possible. You want as big an engine as you can afford but balance this with your armaments as a bigger engine means quicker torso twist and turning which equates to your target reticle staying on the enemy for longer periods.
I have seen some really good advice been thrown your way...You should really try them out before righting them off because on paper they don't look good. Great to see your entusiasm tho and some of your builds look like killers with a bit of polishing. Have a look for some Team speak servers and have a few drops in a group you really pick up a lot from the experienced guys... I hope you find that build your looking for bro

i always wanted a group to drop with... and i have used my cataphract at 26% heat by taking off some heat sink, it is fine for me, so i won't really over heat that much isn't sustained dmg a good indicater of your mechs heat and firepower? mine seems to have a pretty good sustained dps
isnt 26% like 1.08 heat in the game??? to me thats not that bad
i just need more c-bills to start testing, polish my monster, then i will get my dream build

does anyone think it would be a good idea to move the armor on my ctfs center torso to the front?
it has great firepower and mobility, but the armor sometimes isn't enough
