I'd like to know, since I cannot find a single summary of what happened.

According to reddit, PGI did not even have a booth at pax.

I'm at PAX, doesn't look like PGI has a booth. :P

Yeah I super bummed too! I expected to see a booth here. It is just hawken, hawken everywhere.

Why would they go to PAX to gain more exposure when they can put dev time into 3PV, reaping nad retaining players with that amazing feature?

They said they'd be there, but just as like in a chillin' way.

So they didn't make an "official" appearance? Wth are people expecting then...lol. Obviously there is no news then.

A little snide, aren't we?

Sorry, I deleted my post because I couldn't find the comment made on the forums by one of the staff. Searching is... annoying. But if I find it I'll repost.

Absolutely snide, but painfully accurate.

I'm confused then - if PGI wasn't planning to make an appearance at PAX, why did they create a trailer with PAX-specific wording in it?

I guess it's just in the trailer titlle... although when combined with supplementary news posts like this, I'm still left a bit confused.

MWO is not ready for mass marketing yet. PGI is also a small staff so sending anyone would delay content that they are already behind schedule on. I imagine the multiple hotfixes also did not help in freeing up time for their team too.

Hawken is a larger company? I thought they were the same and they also have a presence at PAX ?

Actually, they did go to PAX but for the panel.

I am not sure how you guys are so out of the loop.

Despite Hawkens different style of gameplay, they are attracting the very crowd that PGI seems to be attempting to woo. It seems the other game gets A+ for effort where PGI gets a "Thanks for showing up." Maybe a participation ribbon?

Whip up some online codes.

Hand out a week premium time and 375 MC. This lets those who are there to collect on the event promo would be able to technically master 3 mechs, with the 375 MC hopefully being used for a new mechbay and a one time use camo to see how the system works.

And for those who say it would take 1 or 2 people away from coding...well.. I hope they have people in their ranks whos very job is marketing. At least one?

Anyways, even two support staff and one dev would be worth the slight delay on whatever he happened to be working on if it couldn't be passed off onto anyone.(if it was that important.)

I keep getting the "not ready" vibe in most things I'm seeing.

Strike while the iron is hot....or in this case...slightly warm.

So they were there for the panel.....despite their coding apptitude no one was capable of following the directions to put a booth together? Get signs printed and a few PC's set up with some swag?

This seems like something essential that should have been plotted out when the truckloads of cash came in from the Founders.

Gotta spend money to make money.
