[Bug] Lrms Hit The Ground, While Locked On Target At Fast Moving Target

Hello there !

At Alpine, we occour an error, that an LRM Catapult can't hit an non ecm-Commando with its LRMS.

The Fight was at the base (sorry no grid here)...

Lrms try to follow the fast moving commando, it looks like the commando was faster than the lrms, because the LRMs try to follow the mech, but hit the ground behind em.

We used TAG and got a Hard-Lock - unable to get any dmg on this commando !

Sorry, but i don't think this is a bug...he was just going that fast. Fast mechs(140+ kph) evade most LRM fire or take the damage to their legs. Very few missiles per salvo(if any at all) will hit torso on ulta-fast lights.

EDIT:Unless the trajectories of the mech and missiles match up(pilot error) then the mech gets 1shotted!

This is not a bug, LRMs always have trouble hitting very fast moving mechs as the turning rate of LRMs are not fast enough to compensate for the fast turning of light mechs. It's only fair because if all locked-on LRMs hit, they won't survive long.

I use LRM + TAG + Artemis on my Catapult.

I have seen this with a tagged target, with Artemis lrms, even when the missiles hit the spider, it was taking paint job damage from my 2*LRM 15's because of the latest hot fix..

Its not limited to those highest speed lights.
A commando circling a teammate ( so some missiles did actually seem to hit him while going straight towards and from me) did take next to no damage at all from 280 tagged artemis lrms ( 4 salvos 70 each).
A fast medium ( cicada, centurion ) hit in the back didnt even have his internals damaged after 3 salvos.
I think its a matter of lag combined with the reduced splash radius.
