Does anyone else think the torso hitboxes on the stalker needs some adjusting?

In tabletop a side torso only gets hit 14% of the time. In MWO a side torso potentially gets hit 100% of the time if your aim is perfect.
Now PGI did double armor. But double armor doesnt even begin to compensate for the fact youre taking upto 7 times more damage to your side torso than its armored to handle!

Given their size, it's no surprise they pop pretty fast.

And it's not like you can't prevent it, as a competent team can cover your sides while you unload doom on your opponents.

Seriously, besides the missile/srm nerf, Stalkers are pretty nasty no matter how you build them. They needed some kind of counter and imho they are quite balanced, besides the usual boaters that however have their weak spots (6 ppc stalkers being tremendously hot, lrm boaters with no backup weapons and easily doable under 180m and so on).
However I'd still agree to reduce side torsoes a bit and give some more room for the CT (not at all close to those of a catapult anyway), this just because there's literally no way to tank or protect them, like you can do in an Atlas or an Awesome.. there you can use your arms as shields.

Considering that Stalker has highest dps so far its a pretty fair trade . Try using 5 large lasers with FERRO-Fibrous armor +double sinks. Works great

The biggest drawback for the Stalker to me is the very limited torso twist. You can't even look directly to your side with the thing. Maybe after I finish the elites and it doubles?

Even Elite-level Twist X Efficiency (+20% torso twist range) will only raise it to 72 degrees for those other 4 variants, which means you still can't shoot directly to the side..

When DPS and HPS are fixed we could start to talk about the 90% hit probability of the stalker side toros and if there is a reason to increase them. Instead of the standard TT what is based on a chance of 17% to hit from the flank.
