We won't see the Marauder, so that's not a variant we'll see. The Zeus 6Y variant was a failure, only a limited number of the experimental version were made, so it's not really likely we'd see them, since the experiment was done before the 3rd Succession Wars and any models in use since that time will have suffered the major problem that shutdown the experiment in the first place...that Blazer ruined the myomer fibers. Any of those 6Ys still around will have replaced that Blazer with something that doesn't render the Mech useless.

Add to this the little fact that the Blazer was actually introduced to the game in 2008 and you can see why there's not a lot of Mechs running around with the Blazer, it was added a good 20+ years after the TROs that added the Mechs that could have used it...

A Blazer does 50% more damage than a Large Laser for twice the heat. So in MWO stats it would be...

Blazer-
Damage: 13.5
Cooldown: 3.25s
Duration: 1.0s
Heat: 14
Range: 450m
Tons: 9
Crits: 4
Hardpoints: 1 Energy

x2 Large Lasers-
Damage: 18
Cooldown: 3.25s
Duration: 1.0s
Heat: 14
Range: 450m
Tons: 10
Crits: 4
Hardpoints: 2 Energy

So the Blazer is still pretty lousy compared to two Large Lasers. To make the Blazer viable you would have to either increase its damage or lower its heat.

I can see blazers being viable in DDCs and other mechs that can absorb the weight and crit space but are held back by the lack of hardpoints. Not as good as 2 LL, but it costs 1 hardpoint, so it's something of a trade off.

I could see this working on the arm of a 9m aws as the aimable weapon with the torso filled with srms/lasers could definitely improve its max firepower
