Air strikes. Artillery strikes. Please do camp. Thanks.
But... really, what makes a position good for camping when there are no bases?
Pack up tunnel forest colony. All eight of you. Never leave. No artillery. No sniping. No LRMs. No airstrikes. Wait out your opponents. The first scout that comes in dies instantly. Congrats, you are up 1-0. Now they know you are there, and there isn't a ******* thing they can do about it, because if they try to shuffle in one by one, they will be immediately alpha'd by a minimum of four people. The best they can do is never check it out and tie. You literally cannot be beaten.
It beggars belief that you did not immediately think of something like this. Have you played a videogame before?
I mean, Call of Duty has one of the least organized, most chumpy groups of players I've ever seen and TDM matches always end up like this, not to mention the fact that the tools for dislodging campers are
FAR more powerful than they are in MWO. They actually had TDM in a variety of games at MLG, but it was so ******* terrible they abandoned it in favor of CTF / domination etc.
TDM is good, clean, dumb fun. That's what it is. That's what it's always been since the removal of powerful map resources like the shield belt from UT99, or the red armor from Quake. Whatever the setup, whatever the resources, there is an optimal position on a map. Competitive teams will park themselves there, and that will be that.
