Simple question; how do you find a clan or groups? Obviously there needs to be a better in-game system for doing this, but until then, what do people do?

I followed an in-game callout for a clan; searched for them on the forums - and they're a great bunch of guys and girls.

yeah...use the forums..outreach threads or even search the faction talk threads...pretty much each house thread will have a recruiting thread in there.

Easiest way is to make them find you via hiring hall ...
If you plan to use voice comms in the future you can hop into any of the free voice servers dedicated to MechWarrior and play a few games with different groups there, most of them will gladly tell you about themselves and you'll be able to decide if you want to join any of them.
