To get my hands on my favorite mech, the Bushwacker! Sadly this mech will only come into service in 3054 when the IS recovers a Vulture and fixes the shielding around the Bushwackers power plant. A shame, I do so enjoy this mech.

Most people tout the clan mechs as what they want. But to be honest...they lack some of the interesting designs that the IS mechs, both current and later, have. Any one else have a post clan IS mech they would like to see and play in?

It is a shame, I've always liked the Bushy. Was a great little mech to use in MW3 too.

Mainly some good later Capellan designs. Lao Hu, Men Shen, Huron Warrior, Snake, etc. all look like mechs worth trying out. :(

I've always found the Bushy to be overrated. Not enough ammo for the AC, multiple LRM-5s, the joke of the inner sphere known as the ERLL, and twin MGs. Thin armor around an XL would be okay if it moved quickly, but 86kph just doesn't cut it.

[edit because I accidentally movement]

Well I will admit that I used a custom variant of the Bushwacker in my table top battles. But all in all it is not a bad mech as long as you play it a certain way. It is just a shame that unless they release a variant in the prototype stage with all the engine issues, that this mech and many others will not be out for years to come.

I thought this was about not getting into beta. Speaking of which, I am officially derailing this thread since the title is so appropriate. sorry SyberSmoke.

Oh well getting into beta is also a concern...but that is just a short term hitch really as the game will open to all soon enough any way. My interest is just in the time line and the mechs that are released along it. So since the developers are keeping to the canon, then allot of mechs will not be available until years into the future.

Getting back on topic, sorry Tom, the Bushwacker isn't a terribly bad 'Mech. Personally, though, I would love an END-6J Enfield. My favorite 'Mech (Enforcer) on steroids, with jump jets? If this ever shows up, I'm buying it the day it goes live.

You might not have to wait long, seeing how the game is supposed to advance through the timeline through my understanding.

The Bushy is great, however I never used the base variant, currently I like the looks of the Crab, similar idea but energy based so no ammo reliance.
