I have max armour
I have single heat sinks and no special armor upgrades
•I have AMS
•I have LRM 20's in both arms
•I have LRM 5's in the side torsos
•I beagle active probe in the center torso
•I want to keep a standard engine
•I want atleast 700+ LRM ammo, and perhaps wiggle room for more
Other than that p!mp my ride. I don't care. I know my heats not much of a problem, I want armour high, and after that just start throwing it at speed.

In most circumstances double heat sinks are preferable. Endo-steel is often useful as well. Next time it would also be preferable if you post a link with your build. Word descriptions are difficult to work with.
Something like this, i guess:

You can remove lasers if you don't use them at put more ammo in.

Wow that was fast. Ok pulled of the lasers as they are useless on my bad frame rate. Standard is better than Ferro? I'm newb with that stuff. What about Artemis IV? Heavy but maybe worth it? I haven't touched it yet.
Ok here's this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e56fb09a0be3140
I downgraded to single HS because I took off the lasers. If you still recommend them for some reason I'm all ears, otherwise though the 3 tons are freed up. I spread out the LRM ammo incase I get sniped and a section is destroyed. Side torso c.a.s.e.s protect my center. Still got some free weight.

Double heat sinks is still a must. There are heat sinks in the engine (even if those two slots are currently empty, there are still hidden 10 heat sinks). Hence, double heat sinks is extremely efficient upgrade. Highly recommended. (just try to switch back and forth in that online mech lab and notice how heat efficiency jumps from 25 to 50).
Artemis is good. I forgot about it. With your missile load out it would be quite useful.
The only thing Ferro armor does is that it takes more space, but weighs less, so it basically frees-up some 1.7 tonns at expense of 14 slots. Endo-steel takes 14 slots as well, but frees up 4 tons on 3H. So endo-steel is much better and you don't need both, as there would be not enough slots.
C.a.s.e is only useful against ammo explosions. So no need to put it in on mech parts without ammo.
I reshuffled ammo even more for the reasons you mentioned.
So here it is, now with Artemis and double heat sinks. Don't worry about ammo in head, as it is used-up first by default.

Not too much can be done. Mostly trade-offs, like ammo-heat sinks-armor. Mbe you could remove 1 ton of ammo, CASE and 0.5 ton of armor from arms and put in two medium pulse lasers instead?

Are you sure you perform better with double LBX10 compared to double Ultra AC5? With UAC5 you will have more balanced range (not only short range weapons). In addition you will free up some tons for improved engine, or heat sinks or whatever. If you don't want to change engine, then something like this could be good (large laser gives further improvement at range):
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f9f88004d115d46
I tried out the double UAC5, but I'm too undisciplined to not jam them. The LBX-10 twins work way better within 270m and synergize better with the SRMs in close quarters.
Long range wise, I felt at a loss to use UAC5 or LL . The travel time like most AC slugs was too slow and Large lasers was too middle ground, not quite reaching. I'm not a big fan of lasers all around to begin with, mainly because of the duration to apply all dmg.
However, I agree with you that long range was problematic and it gave me pose. The only way I could see the whole deal working was with a pair of ppcs. And it did work once I came up with this puppy:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...9ef1061e08c98d1
Biggest drawback, It sacrifice speed down to std 300. SRMs 4 makes spread and heat more manageable, and firing rate a little faster. A pair of ppcs means serious business. I've tried ERPPCS but heat was too hard to manage with this machine, and besides, if you are within 90m of this D-DC, both LBX-10 and ssrms4 will core you fast. I've scored 600-700 consistently so far with it. Did not saw many similar builds, so I might go ahead and name the design

you could put the srm ammo in the head and one in each arm and remove the case to free up .5 tons (mainly gives more armor, i would put it on the arms so you can use them even better as meat shield)

looks like its as good as it will get, XD for a sec i though that was a jenner, not a jager
only possibility is put in large pulse (if you are using the mgs and close range anyway) or large laser to run cooler, but many prefer the instant dmg ppcs do

Sadly I don't think you will be able to fit two more large lasers onto that build. You could drop the engine size down so that you can free up 2 tons and get 2 meds on to it but I believe what you have is the best you are going to get with large lasers.

Here you are 5 ER Large Lasers. More is impossible.

I present to you this thing. Yes, i have close to no rear armor. No, i have no problems with that.
I'd like to see what you can do with it. =)
Optionally, I'd like to see if you can solve two of my biggest problems in one fell swoop - Heat, and Ammunition Count.

any advice for this brawler, or fine as it is?
I had a build with artemis before, but forgot the build :s

nice
not much to do except take that ammo out of the ct, put it in the head and left arm, you don't want your life cut short from an ammo explosion in your ct do you? because assaults can take a decent amount of dmg in the ct after the armor is gone, the more likely it is for ammo to be destroyed before the ct is, taking you with it

mainly, to get more ammo and/or heat ef, you will need to free up some weight with a smaller engine
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...a7db5888c4459aa
16 less armor 10kph lower top speed gets you 2 more tons of ammo and 5% more heat eff
you can also take out a hs/ammo put in more armor, bigger engine, etc.
41% eff, 9 tons of ammo (you pick how much for each weapon) runs abut 70kph with speed tweak
oops, forgot link
