It used to be when I saw LRM's I took cover, now I get my kill and then take cover. The damage from LRM's are so low now, I haven't run AMS in weeks. The only reason people run ECM now is for Streaks and Stealth. LRM's are a non factor now.

Mr. Rain: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e32c6806d75cb56 says bring enough lrms to be effective. Just hope no lights swarm you. Also JJ and target decay make lrms more effective. Jump get lock + fire, fall back under cover and if target is between 180-400 meters then the lrms will hit before lock is lost.

Like all Highlanders, very easy to remove a weapon system (asymetrical load outs), via focused firing. If you want a stable boat, take a 5S, dual AMS and 4 LRM15's + tag and 2 ML. Of course that was when LRM's did 1.8 damage a missile and not .7 a missile now.

PGI hasn't yet "fixed" Missiles to their liking so yes LRM's are less than optimal. It's not however, a problem they are unaware of...they are just falling behind their own published timelines in fixing it (I believe they are behind....I could technically be wrong, not going to waste time looking it up).

LRMs just NEEEEED to go faster, it's so lame how slow they fly. I voted no because they do okish damage just DAMNIT make them reach the target.

LRMs are pathetic. Only time I think about them is when my CT internal is red. Just like Machinegun.

I once ate 20 LRMs with orange CT internals and survived.

Collisions have been out of the game for a half year now, they got right on them. They just removed a major weapons class from play due to some hamhanded implementations. First we had LRM Warrior, then we had Brawler Warrior and now we got Sniper warrior. Its getting old.

I agree that lrms are ineffective unless you are sending 60-70 missiles a salvo, then woe to the poor sap caught out in the open and not in a fast mech.

they could use a slight slight damage buff (to direct fire) but a speed buff for sure.

sSRMs and SRMs might be in a good place. maybe a slight slight slight slight damage buff... i see SRM6s boated on brawler mechs all the time. and sSRMs seem okay on light mechs as of now. ECM interaction aside.

In a Stalker in the open, being tagged and not using AMS, I took 2 LRM 60 barrages at 350 M, my armor panels were yellow with an arm orange. LRM's are SOOO Scary now /saracsm. Meanwhile, if I took 2 PPC barrages from the equivalent mech, I'd be without a torso.

LRMs do damage? I thought those missiles were just distractions. I guess they do kinda tickle...
