I know, right? Does this mean they will release hero variants before stock variants? Seems like a good way to make money, to me. Want to try the new mech? Shell out $$$.

I kind of doubt they will release it by itself ahead of the standard variants

-Cries of P2W
-No way to master the chassis for that period of time
-No way to really test out the chassis before buying it

I guess it is good business. Though this will be a first that a hero is brought out before a stock mech. I can already hear complaints a plenty.

hero mech first. very smart move PGI..

then again people might complain that the mech is complete and they are holding out.

but this will boost sales.

Hmm. Either PGI is finally ahead of schedule or they're just going to release this before the stock variants to earn money.

HELL YES

What looks like AMS on the legs is rumored to be Shock Absorbers (just for show)
Makes sense as one would think a 90 ton mech with jump jets would need some extra precautions landing.

How is it P2W? It is a hero mech you have to pay for anyway. The period of time is a couple weeks. If you want to test out the chasis before buying it, you can wait like what 2 weeks. Or if you are really worried about it sucking you can let some other shmucks buy it first, and tell you if its good, then pick it up the next day or not. WTH???

I don't see how releasing it ahead of the rest makes them more money in the long run. If anything, I see them making less because of people wanting to test out the chassis before buying it. If they release it ahead of the rest and without a test drive feature of some kind, PGI will probably be shooting themselves in the foot.

You are letting individuals pay for access to a jump jetting assault that you cant get through grinding, and you think people are going to be ok with that? It wouldn't matter if it was a week or a day, people would go ape**** over it.

that is not P2W that is marketing. if you want to pilot the new highlander mech 2 weeks early pay for the hero, it's a really smart marketing idea

It's not P2W... but some people will call anything P2W, is the point.

That is my point. People will wait a week to buy it after they have tried the standards (or not at all), so what exactly would be the point of releasing it early? PGI gains nothing from it except the money of the people who would have bought it regardless what mech it was based on.

I think you're wrong, I think alot of people are willing to pay for it to play the highlander 2 weeks early. many of us are playing and purchasing all the mechs over a long term it showed in a recent poll.
