Well it doesn't seem strange that all my friends in my list are red. the teamspeak channels normally full are down to 25 in one and 18 in euro. Every person I started this beta with no longer drop, except for the 2 hours at night we might have 5. Friends list maybe 17 will show out of hundreds. Fighting is now CALL OF Duty not one familiar name in battles, not ONE teammate. Oh this was suppose to be a team game but don't see anything to even suggest this is a team sport, or ever get there. Just alienate you fanbase more, sell more crap and leave as is, game be gone another month from no interest. Opening up this to the public destroyed any chance it ever making it to Communtiy warfare, and as I see it. IMO will never be the past game that dial up held 2500 plus to drop continously in a wireframed world that none that i remembered ever complained about the game. We wanted to fight our enemy with our best friends around us and to be respected for our skills. Now every tom, ****, and grandma moses have cheats hacks and cyber ability to do anything they want and as my friends list does prove most of the regulars from beta are not here at this time, BUT where did they go and WHY??????? lol

Many of us can't play because of crash issues. Stability is getting worse and PGI seems to have a couldn't care less about your crash issues attitude.

This will NOT grow your F2P base of players. The game needs to install and simply work. If it doesn't F2P players are on to the next thing. Right then.

You have to fix their crash issues and your bad code FAST or lose them forever.

i nearly left myself cause of crash issue 1 in 3 games but its better now for me at least. bugs are priority one. I posted a topic about gaining/ retaining customers and bug fix is top of the list.

I havent logged in, in over a week because I dont see a point. I am an old school Battletech player, from back when it was called Battledroids, I came in just as Battetech was released. I loved MPBT:EVA, Solaris and 3025, I was hoping for MPBT again, instead I got WOT.

This game gets boring really fast. The important stuff like a fully functional matchmaking and Community Warfare was put on the back burner until the majority of the forums complained about it. Then they realized it might've been a good idea to focus on one of the two core components of the game.

It was a catch-22 situation for PGI though. Small company, limited resources. Community warfare is the skeleton of the game, giving every fight context and purpose. Without CW, it's just a bunch of random battles. However, the battles are the meat of the game, and if PGI hadn't spent so much time making the actual game balanced, then CW warfare would be obsolete. Who cares how many planets you control, if the game itself sucks?

And on top of that, you need to keep releasing content to keep the fans interested, which means you can't have everyone working on long term goals.

In conclusion, there's plenty of stuff to be disappointed about, but leaving the game won't help. And AFAIK, there are no other MechWarrior games on the horizon.

PS: I don't know what catch-22 means, I took a shot in the dark.

It is way too late, cuddling the masses who had no idea, just made it easier for the rest of the solaris mpbt crowd to find other games. Lastnight, Firefall f2p took the rest of my clan. 3 might be here tonight but not worth the trouble. Yes getting tossed from the log in screen makes it really worth while to try second time to play, just to get on with no hud. Im one of the old farts been around computers all my longlife. Every trend used to get customers is not worth it if you cause the main personal the warriors that eat breath mechwarrior to leave. This should not be called a mechwarrior game maybe Call of DOODYMechgame that just did a nose dive in their own cesspool, literally lying to all of us was about the one thing I would say that made this game tank. I wish it didn't but GREED kills everything in this world EVERYTHING so this is just another example of it.

While I agree with everything said in here.... the game is still beta... right? I mean they treat it like its beta but all the players act like it isnt. And thats a problem. Going open beta so early is STILL biting PGI in the ***.

I'm finally giving up because:
1. I am so damn sick of tourmaline I just want to alt + f4 out every time I get it, which is 3/5 games
2. I can't pilot my favorite light mechs because of cheese build streaks decimating them all
3. LRMs are slower than a sloth taking a **** in the arctic circle
4. I crash every few games and I get lag spikes that used to be non-existant
5. The competence of who I play with has been extremely lacking

This little thing called "Bioshock:Infinite" dropped recently. You might have heard of it. Seems as though gamers have a new shiny to play with for a little while.

very soon those people will realize that the new bioshock is nothing more than a gilded ****, and resume their normal lives.

on topic at hand: I actually noticed a few of the players isn my teamspeak don't play anymore, 4 of them that i know of off the top of my head. of the 4 that quit MWO, 3 had IRL reasons that neccesitated it, whereas only one actually can't stand the game.

and nobody misses him anyway.

1. yes, fully agree.
2. this doesn't seem to be nearly as prevalent as it was. as is now, a good jenner pilot can now take down a streakraven.
3. yes, lrms require no ability to use, and should not do tremendous damage. they are a support weapon, not a primary.
4. crashing has been happening to me as well more than usual, but lag spikes? I can't imagine that's a common phenomena.
5. i'll agree, but i'd also like to say that it hasn't gotten any worse as is , game needs a bit of fixing up. but i'm patient, you should all be patient, give PGI a bit more time than a week before you rip out the pitchforks and torches.

Defiance next week will likely kill even more of the player base. I had a beta invite this weekend and I am totally getting sucked in. Forgot what it was like to play a finished product. It's sad to say but I know I won't be on as much anymore, although cannot leave entirely as the Highlander comes soon. But numbers will continue to drop, not gonna be sure if anyone will be left for community warfare.

I quit because of the Elo. It’s one thing to loose. It’s a whole other thing for the game to put you in matches for the sole purpose of making sure you lose. Affirmative action is so 24k dialup! I WONT play because it’s at the point where I can predict if I will win or lose THE NEXT MATCH be4 the end of game scoreboard even pops up for the match I am in. If i won a match I can guarantee I will be put in a match where we loose no less than 4-0 EVERY EFFING TIME! But the wins are not fun at 8-0 or 4-0 ether. They JUST ARE NOT FUN FOR ME! It has nothting to do with skill and everything to do with punishing good players or players who WANT to get better. You cant raise your elo if 7 other people run off, do their own thing, stand still in the open and fire thinking they can kill the guy moving be4 they are killed, cant aim or frankly just dont care.

MWO forums; 2273 users online. Slight comparison with other games; Hawken (255 users online), War thunder (610 users online). It's of course just an indication, but it does mean something.

Actually I went backwards in time and started Skyrim again last two weeks rather than play much MWO. Not an apples to apples comparison, but I love a game with a story line. Random battles on planets that don't even have a name...not so much. :o

I guess a community needs females. This 99% male community whines and cries more than little girls watching kittens getting killed.

I'm still enjoying it, and we had 17 in our clan chat alone. I think the game is progressing in a good manner.
