Has Anything Severely Bad Ever Happened To House Davion?

Every House has had a "turn in the barrel" at some point in Battletech lore. House Liao lost a $#!+load of planets after Prince Davion offered them up as a wedding present to his wife before he invaded. House Steiner, Kurita, and the Rasalhague Republic lost a lot of planets to the Clan invasion. House Marik goes downhill during the Blake Jihad before it gets utterly destroyed.

Has House Davion ever suffered on a massive scale? I don't mean like "well in this one book on this one Davion planet a bunch of people died." I mean has House Davion EVER suffered a major loss on a grand scale?

One name: Katrina Steiner (originally Katherine Steiner-Davion)

Well, one name... and all the damage / destruction / loss of life she caused (both directly and indirectly).

I really find that hard to believe...

She really isn't aware she destroyed not only both sides of the family, but infrastructures/nobles/technology on both sides too? With her kill-em-all attitude?

Word of Blake gave New Avalon a nice orbital bombing once...embarrassing but hardly devastating. FedSuns has always been the favored child in BT mythology. That's why nobody else likes them. They'll get theirs some day though...perhaps their vital kid glove factories will be lost to a freak accident of some sort.

The FedCom Civil War...Katherine Steiner-Davion (Prince Victor's sister) took over both thrones of the FedCom and basically abused her power. The ***** assassinated their mother...which is reason enough to kill her nice and slow.

got to love how the fed com civil war is a whole era in battletech, yet the marik civil wars barely even get mentioned.

Thats because of new hardware introduced that isn't really Level 2 anymore.

At least the Anton - Janos war was covered in Brush Wars (though the more interesting part of that book is the Andurien - Canopus - Liao war).

Following the Blakist victory, the Word of Blake forces were recalled from New Avalon on the 14th of September. Two weeks later, as a part of their departure, the Word of Blake detonated high explosive charges in and around Mount Davion that partially collapsed the mountain and sealed up the entrances to the Fox's Den.

The AFFS has several layers of command. The first is that of the national authority. Headquarted in the Fox's Den on New Avalon,

Population (3067): 7,212,000,000
Population (3076): 7,202,000,000

yeah they overdid the populations on BT. clans have about 200 million the is is about 7 trillion if i remember right. total jumpships is reported at 2k but would have to be at 30-50k in order to do the supply runs they talk about.
