This may have been said before and/or in-progress but there needs to be better chat functionality.

1) On the battle grid ('b' key) players should be able to type chat so if someone is commanding they don't have to waste time by going between the battle grid for positions and the cockpit to type commands; they should be able to type commands on the battle grid screen so they don't have to waste time opening/closing and take more time adjusting to new conditions. Or instead, give the commander the ability to give orders to mechs individually on the battle grid.

2) There needs to be a voice chat. I'm sure this has been said already but it's really important.
