Yes, they immediately started testing and validating the site for Chrome. The irony is that at the same time our IT staff was working out a contract to move us off Outlook and onto Gmail company wide. :)

This game needs smaller maps for TDM... tbh looking at the old MW games, the arenas were awesome - how about inside a jumpship hangar

No way.... the maps need to be BIGGER. Arena style can be its own separate game mode, or for solaris.

So you think we should have bigger maps for TDM?
Take a pointy hat and go sit in the corner - have you not spent hours of your life already slogging through Arctic / Tourmaline just to get within a Klick of the enemy?

/agree about the arena mode though - in fact that would do instead of TDM.

I wouldn't be surprised that someone will be @ the forefront of "Cowards in TDM matches need to be nerfed".

we absolutely need respawn & CTF gametypes & modes.

Assault gamemode is TeamDeathMatch.

The minute you pull the bases ALL the whining will shift from

"STOP CAPPING"

to

"STOP HIDING IN YOUR SPIDER"

and 15 minute nightmare spider chases that will induce more rage than base capping EVER did.

One more time...

DEFEND YUR BASES!!!

Why not? Right now Assault and Conquest are just TDM with these lame secondary win conditions that just seems to **** off the people actually fighting. Even the ones that happened to be losing the brawl, more often than not.

To be constructive. Look, the only way TDM really would be acceptable is if we had a lobby, but we don't. If they add TDM now, it's going to the queues. Talk about turning the new players away. Because they will both be a part of lights hiding, and be a part of getting frustrated at lights hiding.

Just wait till we get private lobbies. Then I'd be completely happy to satisfy the people hell-bent on getting TDM. Or, heck, add it as an option to 8man queues as someone suggested. I don't see harm in that. At least, not much.

And whoever thinks these polls represent what the community wants needs to take a class on statistics. Or pre-calculus. This is hardly a sizable enough sample size to determine what the entire player base wants.

Yes, actually I have spent countless hours, on even bigger maps (in MW4) playing TDM, with 60 minute match timers. And I loved every bit of it. MW4 has some different mechanics though(different radar, ecm/bap,missles and mechs had much greater agility and speed) and the league rulesets made such games very interesting with very deep strategy and tactics.

not sure if this has been stated before. but if anyone recalls the Assault mode from Unreal tourney 2004. it was a turn based assault mode, team 1 had 15 minutes to capture team 2 base, the quicker they did it the better, the teams then swapped roles. with team 2 now attempting to capture team 1 base. hopefully this would give people to idea of using tactics and not just being a blob of mechs crashing in the middle.

just my two c-bills worth.

You didnt read the OP. Its calling for no respawn TDM. but a respawn version would be just as fun.

And then that player switches back to playing assault and gets annoyed yet again by the capping. Its going to be a vicious cycle.... the raging will reach heights unheard of in the history of internet gaming!

You seem to think that your in control of whether or not a new game mode gets implemented and how. (pssst its got nothing to do with you)

You will play assault mode, and your opinion of TDM will have zero merit, just like it doesnt now.

Games are 15 minutes. It takes 10+ for a team to wipe. You're not losing much time. In fact, it's not much more than the time spent waiting for the base to cap. The question is, would you rather hunt/chase for a few minutes, or play baserace? Another suggestion is to change Assault so that the bases cannot be capped until most of the enemy team is dead. That would also solve the problem here, but will never happen.
