Just curious, are all those screens ever going to Auto Detect some sort of Signal? Not that they don't give the cockpits a nicely tech-y feel, but I assume they're there for a reason. Was it ever mentioned what sort of information they were intended to show?

Last ask the devs had them mention that they (devs) are unhappy with the state of the screens.

Those screens are probably for future expansion or are there to be ignored.

I recently noticed one of those screens giving an ammo-count and showing where it is located on my mech, dunno if that's always been there or if it's recent and I just never noticed.

It's been there for awhile. There's also a kill counter and a heatsink status monitor which was useful for bug tracking. I suspect the fact that you have to look around for them (without a bookmark-like hotkey) and the value of the information as a whole might be what they've been mulling over. The ammo counter is nice for tracking ammo by location, but cycles at it's own pace and it pointless if you just want to total count.

I'd really like to be able to juggle them around a bit and get things like downward/backward camera's, UAV's, critical component data, etc. Right now they look nice, but aren't even really worth the support level information beyond the Heat Sink status.
