As a Cicada pilot, I have had more than one unpleasant encounter with streak missles. However, I was just in a match on tourmaline desert. I was scouting ahead when I noticed a friendly light was engaged with an enemy light. So, I moved in to help. An enemy commando also jumped in. I found myself being focused, and my CT armor was stripped. All of my other armor sections (front and rear) were still intact. The commando was equipped with streak missles. I was keeping him behind me, so his missles would hit my rear armor and not my stripped CT. Much to my dismay, I noticed my CT still taking damage. Naturally, this lead to my death, CT cored, all other armor sections intact.
This seems like a bug to me, so I am making this thread to report it. Definitely gives streak missle equipped mechs an unfair advantage. Feel free to comment or correct me if I'm mistaken.

It's because missiles do splash damage. It's not a bug, but an unwanted feature.

I see. Still, it seems that even with splash the damage shouldn't be making it to my front from the rear. It would make sense if it was hitting my side torso(s). At least now I know, thanks.

This is what happens when people who never heard of Mechwarrior till around 2009 hastily rush out a ftp game to cash in on name recognition.
Least we forget Streaks where introduced and rushed out to us because of the poor net code and people compaining that they cant hit lights.
"So what if we make something horrible broken to make up for our poor, broken lackluster programming ability?" -PGi dweeb

Streaks should not hit a mech that isn't in visual range ! I get circled my commandos or ravens and we go should to shoulder and they still hit me. This is NOT FAIR!

Simple...streaks should not only target CT. This would balance many aspects of the game
