hi everybody,

i am not a BT fan nor did i ever play TT.
i have played one of the MW games back when i was a kid at some friends house. ive only played it that 1 visit i was at his house and yet, it is still such a strong memory. anyways im 25 now - in a totally different country and luckily MW lived on and now i get to play this awesome game online. thing is i have no idea what the factions are.. i read about them in this site and on the BTwiki site. the story is very complex with a lot of names and seriously i dont understand any of it. so im a lone wolf. thing is the lone wolf logo looks so generic, also there are cockpit items for faction players but not for loners. also on the forums - the faction players have a nice colored logo by their names - together with the founders tag some of these guys look royal-like. so i find myself wanting to pick a faction. what do you guys think. should i pick a faction at all? or do you think that im correct in saying pgi should consider giving the lone wolfs a nice logo too..?

If you are not on teamspeak, you should hop on. There are several teamspeak servers out there, and most of them welcome new guys. They usually have a 'looking for group' channel to hang out in and you can meet friends there.

Regarding picking a faction: In my gaming experience, the color of the flag is not nearly as important as the content of character that your friends/unit has. I fight with Steiner because the Steiner guys are really cool. But why would I choose to fly a flag with a big blue fist on it when I could have a dragon or something cool?

The above list will help you find guys to play with, and hopefully you'll fall in with a group you get along with and you won't have to worry about being a lone wolf anymore!

Lone Wolves are a real group in Battle Tech.

The symbol is this:

However, selecting "Lone Wolf" in MWO, can mean a lot of things like solo pilot's, pirate groups, or merc type lone wolf groups as the real 'lone wolves' are.
