So, I deleted my poll topic since the way it was presented, probably wasn't the best...

This free would be a one time thing for the creation of the unit, joining a unit would be free, you would get access to whatever the unit already paid for, for free.

What would you pay for a PREMIUM unit creation? What is a premium unit? It has access to custom unit colors and a custom unit logo, for example:

People would still have the option to create a free unit, all they would get was their unit logo before their name.

Hopefully this goes over a bit better. :)

PGI should pay us to make a merc corp in their game.

It would suck if you had to pay to join one, but if it's just paying once to start a merc. corp then I couldn't care less.

Although... man... 300 bananas... that would be amazing.

I voted 50

Conditional on regular merc corps being free to form, and being exactly the same in all regards except for custom paint patterns and decals

Depending on how complex these paint patterns are I could see a higher charge being acceptable

maybe a 1 time fee for creation and maybe a second fee for increasing the roster limit.

but most of the money should be made from making the Corp better, Bigger, BEEFIER!

1. Special Camos designed by the corp costing MC

2. Custom insignia for MC

3. maybe advertising across "E-billboards" across the inner sphere for MC

4. Custom paint colors not on the color wheel

and extend it not only for Merc corps, but House Divisions like the Kurita "ghosts division" and other special teams that want to advertise.

What PGI is doing is making us pay for something we want, not something we might want with it. on a F2P scale, that is very bad news

Are you saying it would cost individuals MC? Or the Unit itself would pay?

that's what i'm a little torn about, I want PGI to make money by being able to cater to the player... and I'm leaning towards the individuals, but I'm sort of thinking about a sort of thinking about special packages for both single players and Corps.

if we do this individually:
-PGI can make more cash, but players might feel that this is a ploy to squeeze money out of the player
-players have a choice to personally choose but can deviate from the standards
-players feel more attracted to their items

if we do it per Unit:
- easier standardization
- may cost too much as a whole even if it gives less wealthy players the items to standardize
- Who pays, leader, other players, who?

I think it needs a poll.
---

but I'm sort of thinking about special packages for both single players and Corps.
say a special deal package with all the fixings for either the lone player or maybe a package

Main choices- 100 each
- 3 custom paints
- 1 custom insignia
- 1 custom camo pattern

Package A- 250MC
- all custom paints, insignia, and camo for yourself

Package B- 1000MC
- all custom paints, insignia, and camo: with ability to send to 4 other mechs (either for your own or send to your friends)

this makes it so that players can not only buy what they want for their desires, but also have a way to help other players out...

this gives players choices, and that is good
