Commandos Un-Hitable

How I kill light mechs (commandos specifically):
Pick your shots carefully - It's a waste of heat to spam PPC shots.
Alpha the mofos - the most damage possible at close range is a given
Lead the target more then it would seem necessary - IDK why, but this is what works best for me.
Don't aim for center of mass - while its seems logical to aim for the largest part of the enemy mech. I've found that aiming at the legs nets better results. Due to the lack of armor lights have. It's logical that the legs will most likely be the most vulnerable parts. Even when I have pretty clear shots for center of mass, I still aim for the legs. This is in fact how I kill most light mechs.
Don't play the circle game - I've seen assaults die while trying to follow mechs. I don't play this game and end up kill most lights that try this strat. If a mech is at your furthest horizontal point. Move to the opposite side and wait for them to make another pass. This gives you much more time to line up good shots. Also it helps to try and back into a building or cliff side. I've had many enemy lights, run into walls not paying attention. Making them easy targets.

That's why Erppcs > PPCs. Heat is the only reason not to use an ER. I say, just shoot less and use the better weapon.

Your best bet is lasers, pulse lasers, or seeker missiles (lol). Everything else, the light needs to be standing still to be effective.
This is because they don't have host state rewind on ballistic like weapons, yet.

but yes, commandos can be difficult to hit, even with both players on excellent ping.
it's kind of like trying to shoot a fruit bat flying around the room with a blowdart.

Technically, both of them should go faster (when modded), but the speed cap gimps them. idk which would work out faster were we only governed by engine rating limits (multiplier of stock size) rather than there being a set upper bound speed limit regardless of theoretical max engine (within MW:O stock multiplier rules).

On that note, the death screen is hilariously inaccurate, as it lists the weapons you've been damaged by in the last ten minutes or so, it seems, rather than just the ones leading up to your death (or the ones dealing the killing blow), making it difficult at times to tell what really killed you. Doesn't seem to always be in a historical order, either. Got splashed by a small laser, five minutes later got opened up on by three enemy mechs using large lasers, autocannons, and ppcs, but 'Damaged by small laser' was at the top of the list.
At least it gets the 'death by' right.
