All the Founder mechs have different geometry. founder mechs are not Hero Mechs, though.

Huh, I never noticed that in the other Founders chassis. Interesting

Anyone else note the "Holiday double XP weekend" doesnt end until tommorrow..?

Anyone else think they will use Easter holiday as an excuse to push patch a week..?

Possibly, although they could simply combine taking down this sale with putting up the new content. =)

A lot of items are specifically scheduled for April 2nd

I imagine the 'weekend' is extended until Tuesday because they have to take the game down to turn on/off the events, and might as well wait until the server is off for the patch Tuesday anyway.

nobody ever complained abut too much double XP!

thanx again RedShift fro combining the info and giving us a consolidated 'peek' at what me coming.

I hope to see the Highlander, would love to see the paintable heros.

Rumours afloat about new consumables - arties and air strikes. Not much info tho, so prolly just rumours.

Would like some map variants like the April Fool's Patch note mentioned, lol, maybe without the corrosion, but the foggy night of Caustic would be cool.

Again thanx for the ehads up, always enjoy your posts and a possible peek at the patch to come. Good work

Highlander standard chassis is listed as Preparing for Launch on the website. To date, that means it's the next mech to arrrive.

Heavy Metal hero mech is just a still frame on the homepage rotator with no click through link - i.e., it doesn't even have a page dedicated to it yet or a listing under the Hero mechs section of the site showing it as Coming Soon, which is usually one well in advance of launch, and before it changes status to Preparing for Launch.

So all signs point to either NO mech tomorrow, or a hero mech using an existing chassis.

Highlander official standard variants release will in all likelihood come before a Heavy Metal hero mech, or an outside chance of a simultaneous launch. Either way, the Highlander standard variants should be the next mech release after a possible non-Highlander hero release tomorrow.

Not to say they couldn't do something outside the box...

Actually the most compelling evidence for the Heavy Metal being released sooner rather than later is it's presence in the recent MWO PAX trailer, showing that the mech has already been completed http://massively.joy...es-new-trailer/

Alas, that's completely subjective when attempting to take it to mean it is the next release. It could just as easily support a claim that it means the Highlander chassis as a whole is completed and ready for release. After all, we know they likely have a backlog of content ready to release over the coming weeks, and logically speaking, they would create standard variants for a chassis before messing with a hero variant, particularly since they would want to ensure the hero mech is well-balanced with the standard variants. It's not something that can be easily done backwards.

They revisted the K2 twice to add new weapon graphics, so I expect other mechs will get some treatment where it's really necessary.

Yeah, they are working on it, but with the roll out of the Jagermech and the changes to the K2 I am hoping that we will get more visual customization sooner rather than later.

I am not going to pitch a fit if we don't get it this patch, but I will dance a jig if we do :D

If the Heavy Metal is done, I bet the non-hero version is done (or extremely close to done) as well. Just some new paint and modular weapon chunks. However, with the appearance of the Heavy Metal not only on the front page but also in a broadcasted promotional material video, I think they will be pushing the Hero mech out first.

No worries, we all win either way. :D

PGI is actually much better about putting the official stuff together (big monthly update) and also they've stopped updating upcoming content threads 2-3 months in advance, so there is simply less to report on and more things left to conjecture.

I have had a steady decrease in traffic for these posts, and maybe, eventually, they will become unnecessary.

OR... OR it could be a cash grab and you can play the Highlander hero before the standards come out.

And a funny note about Rhonda's Highlander in the war of 3039 it was the first Highlander seen on the battle field with its original components from star league era.

Side note there is one more tale of how she stole her Highlander (which she did find in a cache of SL era crap) from ComStar. it really gets odd and fuzzy with certain lore as she has 3050 lore plus the newer 3039 lore just depends on old school fasa or the newer catalyst stuff for flavor.

It is a LRM20 in the left torso of Heavy Metal. Watch the end of the Go Ballistic trailer and you can clearly see two 10 missile sets one right behind the other. You can see it at 1:52.

Also, it looks to have an AMS in each leg.

Honestly, yeah... the speed is killing me, and I'm not a fan of the hardpoints config. So I've been having a hell of a time trying to find a build I like on any of my three.
