I'm getting so frustrated. Since the last patch or so I keep on crashing back to the MechLab. I've just had it happen 6 out of 10 games. I've restarted my PC. I have a dedicated very high end PC - running an i7 and a 660ti graphics card. The crash happens randomly throughout the game. Any workarounds or cures??

well.. i'm pretty upset. What a waste of premium time.
SLI 2x Nvidia GTX 680's
core i7 overclocked to 4.0
win 7 - 64 bit
12gig ram.
Why do I randomly disconnect in game?
EVERY DROP i disconnect somewhere between 1sec in to 5 mins or more... very rarely do i see a score screen.
This all started happening after the hotfix patch. I was playing against heavy metals and having no problems... then i download a small patch and it ends my fun. No error, just closes back to client as if the game ended with my mech still stuck in the match. I rerolled my pc back a week ago. updated and patched again... tested without latest drivers for nvidia & with latest drivers... I've dropped my resolution, i've dropped my settings to lowest, i've switched from fullscreen to windowed. Nothing does the trick.

I'm sitting here livid and wondering what more can i do? Patch is a Game breaker for me, and i've noticed the same for several ppl with my same graphics cards. Meanwhile my premium time is ticking off, my stats are dropping for all the disconnects and my friends dont want to play with someone who crashes every match... i dont blame them.... who should i blame? Guess i can ruin pubs days by forcing them to try a 7v8 if i crash before i get to a fight, but even that only lasts a couple drops for me. I'm forced to play other games until something is fixed. And what ****** me off the most was that i had just purchased more premium time to get my cbills up for the upcoming highlander.

Yep this is happening to me and I agree with the sentiment.

Happens on getting to the main front-end UI - after login. No special procedures, just login and it happens for me every time since new patch (which took ages).

[edit] Object.pak corrupted, re-download of objects solved problem.

Same error for two CTD in a row. First two matches this morning. Have not had a CTD since last year. Was playing for hours last night with no problems. object.pak file shows as being modified 4/10/2013. Re-downloaded object.pak as described here. Problem appears to be solved.

(Had to use google to find the post with download link since on-board forum search is completely incapable.) :D

I've played about 6 matches so far today and crashed 3 or 4 times. I don't understand because it had been somewhat stable on Wed and Fri... I'm just about to kill someone each time and then my system drops. The last one was a CDT, usually it crashes to mechlab. This is insane. Please fix this on the next patch, you're chasing people away. I'm only staying right now because I haven't used my Founder's time yet and I'm waiting on Comm Warfare... but if this happens when you're live, it's going to be inexcusable and you'll lose customers for any future games.

Finally able to fix the in game freezing by locking my framerate to 60fps using RadeonPro dynamic framerate control. Still get map/HUD bugs and now frequent CTD during MM searching and also after match with mech stuck in game for ~ 3-5 min. Fun times.

This, and uninstalled/reinstalled twice, including the other 2 extra folders being taken off. Never had these kinds of issues before, but now it's practically unplayable with the constant crashes, every 2-6 games or so. More common on my splatcat.
  • Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which?
    None. Just crash to desktop.
  • Where in the game or menus did the crash occur?
Always during match, never during loading... one crash at returning to mech bay, but that was only once.
  • What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring?
~60% of the time, it's when I'm shooting. Especially common when Alpha-striking in my Splatcat.
  • Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps?
More common when alpha-ing and shooting in general, but happens otherwise too.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Mostly medium, unchanged since last patch.
  • What are your System specs?
    AMD X4 955 BE @ 2.8 or so ghz, whatever's stock
    4GB RAM (on 32-bit win7)
    NVidia 460GTX 768MB

Until they get this fixed, I might as well not even log in. Game is crashing to desktop in 5 out of 6 games I try to launch now.

Unplayable.

Game randomly freezes 1/3 of the time and simply forces me to ctrl+alt+del and end game everytime, which is UNACCEPTABLE. I reinstalled the whole game twice.

It was bearable before the last patch. The patch made it into a whole new level of ********

Hard to frigging play this game anymore.

I crash nearly every other game I play. It seems to happen when I play multiple consecutive matches. It normally seems to do ok after fresh client boots. They are crashes to my desktop that always happen in game. Sometimes at any regular time, others it seems to happen in a sudden surge of fps drops like shooting someone or getting shot. I have my video settings on low. I have changed them since the last patch. They were on medium however (during this patch) but I lowered it to maybe help out with the frequency in what seemed like fps crashes.

edit: I also wanted to mention I have tried minimizing cpu workload while playing and I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the client, but it hasn't helped.

Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which?
No error. Just a simple "Not Responding" crash mid-match, forcing me to close the game using the Task Manager.

Where in the game or menus did the crash occur?
The crash occurs only mid-game, and only on Alpine Peaks. I have yet to experience a crash on any other map.

What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring?
I had been playing the game. This hang always occurs during the match, usually after a couple of minutes of gameplay.

Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps?
Yes. About 1 in every 3 games I play on Alpine Peaks results in this hang.
