So, are the pay-to-play artillary/airstrikes better than the C-Bill ones? I'm not sure if I'm reading the notes correctly.

EDIT:
Okay, so the lesser artillery strike combines with the Module to make a 'priority strike?' So, you can use GXP to get the module, and pay C-Bills to get a priority strike OR you could just pay 15 MC for a priority strike? Or does the module stack with the MC version too?

Also, how come no ECM changes/fixes? It's been friggin months of this bullcrap. If the only thing in this patch was the removal of the Romulan Cloaking Device I'd be happy. Come to think of it, though... Didn't the Romulans have to shut down the device to fire? ECM is even BETTER than your typical Romulan Cloaker! Come on PGI!?!?!

How about Collisions?? That's been broken for a long time too!

so true. i had hope that it would be solved on this patch or maybe an hotfix

April 2nd LAGS is live!
Goh damn it, when i play the first version of MWO-CBT i have 50 FPS, now i can only have 25-30 FPS... and with update... 15-20 FPS.
U add some physic effects? No. U add some super-dooper visual effects? No. Maybe you conspired with VideoCard manufacturers? I think yes! I see Nvidia advertising! (just kiddin, but true about FPS ; Д:P

First game after patch - no score screen at the end of match, mech was locked for 2-3 mins.

No...no Highlander? Q.Q

Dammit, I was really looking forwards to getting one of those. Instead I find a horrible pink pretender mocking me in the 'mech lab. Ah well :( Got some pennies set aside to **** the base model with some camo and cockpit details when it does come out, since it'll probably become my main ride. I know the Highlander isn't a Liao 'mech, but I'm willing to pilot a "captured war trophy" for the glory of Capella when it's as gorgeous a 'Mech as the Highlander :P

It's going to be a long, long two weeks...

On a technical note, loving the new Night Vision and Thermal modes. NV in particular - It's actually useful now, and when I pop it on I feel like I'm wading through the Fallout universe just after the bombs fell :P I seem to be having some major interface issues, though - HUD map refuses to rotate, targeting info seems to be very slow on the uptake too. The game interface also goes screwy after a match, with buttons becoming unresponsive. Anyone else getting these problems, or should I start worrying?

I have had 3 perfectly running games. Air strike and Arty are kinda meh

Have to say thank you for unplayable patch, lag spikes at its best. run 20 feet forward, kicks back 15feet, try to turn, youre back again in starting position.... just great


But yea. night vision now is super great, now you can really see a house or mech, not a red diamond with old night vision :P

Same here. Turn on/off thermo/night vision and got ~3 sec delay almost always, teleporting issues, delayed game start (all my team already moving a few hundreds meters ahead - me just starting my engine, "all systems nominal, blah-blah-blah"), etc.

Well now im getting new fun.... lauching game/getting in to game screen where load map and all other stuff and then plain black screen. First time after 1min wait i was able to get in. Now tryed my both mechs for two times and that screen doesnt change, so i kinda crash as i appear "in game" when i reload launcher....

Patch didn't work out for me as well. I have huge lag spikes now, mechs do not properly disconnect, my teammates' mech designations don't all show up. New heat vision looked good, but could not be turned off again. Same to night vision.
The game worked a little better when I used a Trial Centurion, but not that much. And now I'm getting black screens and crashes.

The NVIDIA issue is not concerning me, as I do not use one.

I can only say: This patch looks seriously rushed out just for patches' sake.

So there is either a rule or an in-game mechanic that when one Highlander kills another one, either:
  • The remaining Highlander pilot must enter "There can be only one" in to the ALL chat.
  • "There can be only one" is played over the Hero Highlander's speakers

PS - Initially disappointed at the low number of bug fixes and comments above about lag, low FPS and other new 'issues', but I'll wait and see how this rolls when I get home.

This patch is an excellent example of PGI's nonexistent QA.

They can't fix the bugs and the bugs are getting worse every patch.

This thing is going to go down in flames unless they hire some programmers
that aren't their fumbling cousins...

Matches working fine for me, I got bad ping anyway so welcome to my world MUAHAHAHAHAAAAA

Heavy Metal is a non comment, haven't seen one yet.
Air/Arty strikes are meh on River City, but on an open map they might be better.
New vision modes are +++++

Two matches were fine, the next three had some problems. Missing battlegrid/weapon groups, lag spikes, shadow artifacts...

2 battles - lag is just insane. Never had this problem before.

P.S. Updated nvidia drivers before patching to 314.22.
