[Bug] Black Screen After Joining A Game..

So as suggested I updated my graphics drivers before this patch, geforce 660m updated to driver 314.22... I used the "Geforce Experience" software to automatically search and update drivers. Before I did this I was running at 1920 x 1080 resolution with most options set to medium or high and was getting a steady 40-50 FPS, all maps, all vision modes.

After installing and restarting, the geforce software suggested that my system does not meet the required specs for optimal play, and switched everything to low/off and minimum resolution..

At first I ignored this and set everything back the way it was manually, then tried to launch a game, immediately after the loading screen clears I got nothing but a solid black screen and had to ctrl-alt delete to exit MWO. Assuming this was a one off I launched the game again and dropped, but got the same problem, has now happened 4 times in a row (training grounds work fine for some reason...)

Have tried the suggested minimum settings, my usual setting and a few inbetween, always the same results, black screen as soon as match begins, not sure what's happening here, should I just try and reinstall the drivers I was using before...?

same shlt on ATI card with latest drivers.

It's not a black screen... it's a 5min loading screen... bloody 4 games and over 5min just to load-up the in-game graphics. By that time you're either been cored as afk or the last one standing, it's a joke of a patch. Now the question is what latency are you playing with? (250+ here) Because this could be a server optimisation to improve the American gameplay at the cost of other regions... since I haven't seen any issues with low ping players.

It's a joke, and yet another patch that seems broken on arrival...

Same issue, 250 ping here.

Running tests now so far tried shader cache refresh, now about to try user.cfg removal.

Will post back if can isolate something non driver related, as is happening to ATI and NVIDIA.

Should also mention, the 2 games I've managed to get into, I wasn't able to participate in chat, mini map was bugged in one etc. Even getting in still has weird issues.

Edit/Update: Ok, not user.cfg or FOV issue, still happening. Looking at my log:

Usually around 100-150 ping, but I doubt connedtion speed can affect loading times like this...Didn't think to sit and wait 5 minutes for it to load, but have pretty much given up on playing mwo tonight and I'm watching the new game of thrones instead...will try a few more drops in the background and give it a bit more time to see if it loads...

The odd thing is that training grounds load without any issues, and about 10% of normal drops also work fine....

update:
a map has been loaded after 3min of black screen. Ping is 160-180

same problem here , like 50% of the maps dont load at all...
stuck in black screen

I get this problem. Playing from Australia.

I've had 1 in 4 games load. And when I do load my team is half way across the map.
Training grounds has no problem loading.

tried to drop four times, only one worked. My ping is usually ~250 ms.

I'm using the latest nvidia drivers...

Maybe it depends on which map comes up, so far only had 2 maps load - river city night x2 and frozen city x1...

Stuck again on black screen.. running stopwatch, 13 minutes and counting.... Well, see you after the hotfix....

+1 black screen 10 times i tryed..... but testing ground is ok...

Asus GTX 550 Ti @1680*1050, 3144.22 driver, core i-5 3750, ping 120-190 typicaly

full reinstall does not help

Same for me, takes several minutes to get into a game. My ping also usually in the 200-250ms range.

This is probably related to the extreme packet loss since patch.

Happened a few times to me, if you just wait long enough you usually get into the match. Was almost 3 minutes into the match before I got in once.

edit - just noticed there's another string of errors right at the bottom,

same for me, black screen for quite a while in the beginning, then I freeze out at the end of the match before the results.

Geforce driver is 314.22

Was running fine for dozens of matches before the latest patch

Just tried joining a game. Black screen for ~10min and then dumped to mechlab frontend.
