You guys test it & give us feedback, we implement tweaks; rinse and repeat.
This is, so far, the second iteration.
I used it fine as is tonight. It seems to be pretty good. I still can pick out mechs at a distance using heat vision at the graveyard, but it's not as easy as it was.
Because they apparently want people brawling. Not using ERPPC, ERLL, AC2, etc.
The only thing has become clearer is the reason for the miniscule River Sh*tty maps. Unless they improve advanced zoom greatly, it IS a large energy weapon nerf from hell.
From things I've read in "ask the devs" threads this is the exact thought process..They will be vastly improving advanced zoom for the snipers
map was forest I was standing on the hill with the satellite dish and he was standing below me.
Even when he was 300ish meters out he was hard to see coming up the trail.
I want to know why the new vision modes don't look like this :
When the video was explaining contrast I could see the man standing in the bushes before he moved. There was just enough for my eye to pick out his left shoulder and center seam of his jacket.
However I do think that the new night and IR vision modes do look very similar to what the video shows.
As for feedback on how the mechs look in IR, I think that the mechs need a little more contrast when running very hot. Right now the mechs are solid white silhouette. They might as well be white paper cut outs. There still needs to be more contrast on the mech itself. After all even when the mech is running hot the surface of the mech would still have temperature variants.
