I have pondered a bit over what would be a good idea to help Thermal, Night and/or the Vision Module. I know there have been many conplaints on all of these fronts and i hope this may help address the issue.

I know that improving the visual quailty of all of these overall is a huge task to take on, so realistically PGI is going to do what they can without diving too much into the issue not to take from other aspects of the game design. So i may suggest this, with the quality do the honest best you can, then for the remainder perhaps think outside the box. The years is something like what 3049? Why don't we have these guys have an AI of sorts, that will create a digital outline of a targeted mech or perhaps go as far as having each individual component on the mech outlined. I insist only the targeted mech, having the ability to do this on untargeted mech would be terrible for balance i think.

what does everyone think ?

Yay or Nay?

Having outlines of mech components would make them easier to target and hit so really a bit of a game nerf...

I agree with you that it would e be a bit of a nerf, for me i can navigate around quite fine the way things are, but the quiality could be a bit better. This would just be a compromise to help correct the issue

On the vision module, i havent used it in ages, so not sure what its like now? Is it still really pixelated? If they removed the pixelation and provided it as a high res image, this would be good.

I dont know about this patch yet, but pre-patch it was still very pixilated, and very hard to see what your actually looking at sometimes. so i don't use it. the premise behind the module i think is very good though
