I bought both arty and air and tested it on testing grounds. Absolutely NO damage over multiple tests. The graphics are like something from ten years ago for those two things.

Seriously, the grapics look worse than stuff like Longtom from MW4, TEN YEARS OLD. You don't see the arty coming in from anywhere (sorry down from nowhere doesn't count), there are no fighters coming in at breakneck speed. You see a group of plain looking sprites, there is no sound, there are no explosions. For kicks I called in both on myself (in a Spider) Without looking at the armor, I wouldn't have known that it was even fired,

If you want to call it a placeholder, that almost makes sense. This can't be done however Anyone that spent MC on this should have it reimbursed.

If you said here, try this for free for now, it's just a test, it's not ready yet. I, and many other people would be far less likely to be angry. This is a joke however.

Wow. I guess in open-beta, it must be the players' fault for not conforming to whatever unwritten/shifting hardware requirements that the game has-- so this "blame the victim" mentality in the PGI defense force is just.... what I expected.

if you want to pay to beta go right ahead. as for me once PGI started collecting real money they lost the "tester" benefits. And this is just the latest in a series of bad QE, point to deep problems in the development cycle. They really need to get their testing on track or they will not be around long in todays market. nobody cares about new pink mechs when they can not play the game...

Ok, in all seriousness the patch was out for only a couple hours when you were playing; they can not test for every single variation of every single machine. Bugs are identified and dealt with as they come in. Please show some restraint and follow the bug reporting procedures that have been set down time and time again.

As someone above said; beta life!

That like was for the first half of the post.

Anyway, if they are building to DX11, that is one thing (although it's still pretty ridiculous, honestly), but if they were not, this patch should never have made it through internal QA and should be rolled back. I mean, honestly, if they knew the drivers were a problem (ignoring the large numbers of us with up to date drivers who are still experiencing rubberbanding, artifacting, and CTDs), where was the pre-patch announcement?

When in doubt I use to blame ATI, but I don't have that excuse anymore since going back to Nvidia. ATI drivers... /shivers... never again!
