You cannot purchase Hero Mechs with C-bills. If you want to go that route, you'll have to choose one of the other four Highlanders.

I believe the HGN-733C can run a similar build if you're looking for gauss and 2 ERPPC. I actually really like the 733C with 2 UAC5, 2 LPL and 2 SRM4 right now. I usually get over 600 damage each game. I think I'll end up liking it more than HM once I unlock all of the elite efficiencies.

the HGN-732 has very similar hardpoints as the HGN-HM. but instead of 2 ballistic, 2 missile & 3 energy it has 1 ballistic, 3 missile, 3 energy (which i think is better cos u dont really need 2 ballistics & the extra missile port is a large boost to firepower).

altho yes it doesnt have the lasers in its arms as the HM has but its not really a big deal. HM was intended to be unique and should be since its a hero mech.

Exactly. Can you imagine how many people would be ticked off if they made a c-bill purchasable variant that was just like the HM? Then all they would have paid $34 bucks for is the c-bill boost, and the *****-tonk kill music...

Well.. I paid for 4 founders mechs, and there are identical variants available for cbills, without the custom cammo and bonuses..
How is this any different?

I am disappoint

The HM is unique. Energy and ballistics on the arms is badass. As is 5 JJs.

It's different because your AS7-D(F) sucks compared to the AS7-D-DC and you should be capslocking it up in 48 point on the forums over this. I would be aggravated if I were you.

I was also looking forward to Highlanders with energy hardpoint in arms, instead almost all of them went in the torso and instead got a few missiles in the arm. That made me lose interest in them real quick.

Yep. Those guys at the Mech Factory seem like they are working for the other side sometimes. 2xAC20 Jagermech,oh sure, no problem. 2xGauss Highlander, sorry, just won't fit. I suppose all the one-shotted pilots would take their business elsewhere if they did.

I would have picked up a highlander if they had one with lasers in the left arm. I prefer direct fire weapons I can aim. I've seen many highlanders out there who ONLY have weapons on the right side of their bodies, and that's FUBAR. Who would design mechs like that?

Oh, nevermind, this isn't Battletech, and it resembles it's namesake less every day...

To be fair I get why we would not see 2xAC20 or 2xGauss assaults and some laser/missiles to go with that. Just imagine how incredibly OP they would be since they also have so much armor which makes them both hard to kill and have the biggest guns too. Jagers with 2xAC20 are all running XL and the side torsos are big and fairly easy to take out, which is their downside.

HGN-732

There is the HM. The 732 can do the same build, and have one more SRM for it too over what I run for my HM that uses every crit. (3x LL Gauss and 2x SRM4, it also dose 3 LPL with a 300 instead of a 325 for the HM). So quite your bellyache'n, the only difference between these two mechs is the lasers on the arm, and a missile slot.
