Hi there,

There are several threads about this with longer discussions that I can put in one post. Look around and you'll find some of them. I am pretty sure its not regarded as a bug.

Cheers!

I have had UAC5 jam on the first mouse click with no
ammo shot...

But also, I have seen other people that had UAC5s shoot continuously for
5-7 seconds before jamming....

Apparently the server is very sensitive with the Ultra/AC 5 and often interprets a held mouse click as double shot, without actually firing the double shot. If you quickly tap the mouse key and wait for the reload you'll greatly reduce jamming. I often get 5-7 shots as someone mentioned above.

Everyone knows about it but PGI does nothing, that's their business model ignore all bugs create more buggy content no one asked for. My suggestion is use a different weapon, it's crap right now

Yes, atm UAC5 is sitting on the bench with MG, and Flamer, watching the game.

Yeah. First time using the UAC5 it jammed after the first shot. It's totally ridiculous. They really should just lower the chance to jam and increase the jam time.

theres a chance to jam on every shot, and it goes up astronomically if trigger is held down. works as intended.

Ive been playing a single and doubles for the last few days and its not true. It's supposed to be a 1 in 10 chance yet it seems more like 1 in 3. I go most missions gettin 1 or 2 shots off before jams.

It's a mean to discourage people from double-shooting UAC5 and I like the way it is. It has doubled DPS of almost any other ballistics in game if double-shotted, and will be blatantly OP if the jam chance is low.

That 1 in 10 is if you fire it responsibly, letting it recharge half way before the next shot. If you go wild and click as fast as you can, firing like a machine gun, it will jam in 2-3 shots ALWAYS. The trick of the UAC is not to hold the button down or click fast. You have to train yourself to pace the shots to what the 1/2 recharge time is.

That's true, but it doesn't work so well with inconsistent server latency. The effect it has on the firing times of ballistics makes it difficult to get reliable feedback. Server stability is a requirement for using the UAC/5 to its fullest more so than any other weapon.
